To Assemble

  • Cut the silicone Dip Tube to the height of the keg. Don’t leave it too long or it’ll curl up inside the keg and not reach the bottom
  • Push the Dip Tube firmly onto the barb at the bottom of the tap spear
  • Push the Tap Spout onto the 8mm push-fitting compatible liquid outlet.
  • Check that everything is tightened and you are ready to use.IKEGGER-2.0-Push-Button-Tap-fig-2

Using the Tap

  • The higher the pressure the harder it is to control the flow speed. It’s best to pour with the keg pressure under 15psi.
  • Using your thumb to press the button with a finger locked under the spout or gas post will give you maximum control.
  • Start slow, espeicially with beer, then speed up the flow to avoid foaming.

What’s Included

  • IKEGGER-2.0-Push-Button-Tap-fig-3Kegger 2.0 Tap System
    • The new 2.0 Push Button Tap System! It has a standard ball lock post for wide compatibility. You use a disconnect to attach liquid or gas lines or the regulator here. It also includes a 75psi pressure release valve, and an 8mm push-fitting compatible spout (that allows attaching a wide variety of addons)
  • Tap Spout
    • The tap spout simply slides over the push-fitting outlet of the tap for a perfect pour. Give it a twist to use the keg lying down or to prevent drips!
  • Locking Clips
    • Clip on under the tap button to prevent accidental spillage in transit (or if you have children around that like pushing buttons!)
  • Dip Tube
    • This flexible silicon hose connects to the base of the tap to draw your beverage up through. It has a weight on the end so you can use the keg lying on its side. Cut it to the length of your keg and attach to the barb on the bottom of your tap.
  • Spare O-Rings
    • Your gear comes with all o-rings and seals in place, these are just spares for all the existing ones for when they eventuallywear out. It’s a good idea to put some lubricant on them to prolong their life. The o-ring tool mentioned in the full manual is no longer needed or included.
  • Tap tool
    • This handy tool has notches and cutouts to fit all the bits you may need to tighten or loosen on your iKegger 2.0 tap and regulator.IKEGGER-2.0-Push-Button-Tap-fig-4

HELPFUL INFORMATION

IKEGGER-2.0-Push-Button-Tap-fig-5

WARNING: Always ensure the adjustment knob on the regulator is wound OUT (anti-clockwise) before unscrewing or screwing in a gas source, or detaching/attaching the regulator to a pressurized keg. Failure to do so will cause a sudden burst of high-pressure gas that can permanently damage the finely tuned internal parts of the regulator.

Troubleshooting

  • Flow is difficult to control or pours too fast: Use lower keg pressure; higher pressure makes the flow harder to control. For best results, pour with keg pressure under 15 psi.
  • Beer foams during pouring: Start slow, then speed up gradually rather than pouring immediately at full rate.
  • Dip tube not drawing liquid: Confirm the dip tube was cut to the correct keg height and is not left too long (too-long tubing can curl up inside the keg and fail to reach the bottom). Ensure the dip tube is pushed firmly onto the barb.
  • Reduce accidental button presses/spillage: Clip the locking clips on under the tap button to prevent accidental spillage in transit (or if children are around who like pushing buttons!).
  • Regulator/gas connection issue (safety): Before unscrewing/screwing in a gas source or detaching/attaching the regulator to a pressurized keg, ensure the regulator adjustment knob is wound OUT (anti-clockwise). Failure to do so can cause a sudden burst of high-pressure gas that can permanently damage the regulator’s internal parts.
