If prompted for a passcode, enter “1234” on your device’s keypad. 1 beep will sound and the Bluetooth status indicator light will appear solid blue (in Color Mode, the cabinet will flash blue twice), indicating the iBT76 is paired and ready to play music. There should also be an indication on your device. If no device is successfully paired within 3 minutes the iBT76 will default to the previous mode.
  3. To pair with a different device or at a different time, make sure the unit is powered on, then press and hold the Bluetooth/Speakerphone Button for 2 seconds. Select “iHome iBT76” on device to pair. Once the iBT76 is paired to a device, it will attempt to auto-link when the device is within range (about 33 feet).

You can play it while charging but the cable is roughly a foot long

Does it come with a remote? And if not can I buy a remote for it?
No, it doesn’t. You control the music from your iPod

How long does it take to charge?
About 4 hours

Is this speaker capable of playing rain, thunderstorm, and waterfall sounds and answering questions like the Google home?
Yes, it will play all sounds that most speakers can play that have been recorded, including recordings of white noise or pink noise such as rain, waterfalls, and fans. I personally don’t know about google home.

why does it say free shipping and when I go to checkout it’s 12$ shipping?
I don’t know. My best guess is that because there are multiple sellers with the same product that Amazon messed up on the shipping cost. It should only be free if it is fulfilled by Amazon, and mine is not. My shipping price is standard shipping. I would contact Amazon about the problem with shipping.

Can hear the youtube videos from my iPhone on the speaker?
Yes, any audio playing from your phone will play through this speaker.

How do you charge the speaker?
The speaker has a charging port and comes with a charging cable. This is a wonderful sounding speaker. World Wide Stereo is 36 years old and a very proud iHome dealer.

Can you just have a color-changing mode without music?
Yes if just have the speaker on and you aren’t playing music from a device it’s connected to
