Setting up Home Connect

Tip: Connect your appliance to a mobile device for convenient control via the Home Connect app.

1. Install the Home Connect app on your mobile device and follow the instructions.
2. Scan the provided QR code [QR code] with the Home Connect app.

Water Hardness Settings

Select the appropriate water hardness setting. A table of country-specific units is in the full instruction manual.

Setting the Water Softening System

1. Press the [menu button].
2. To open basic settings, press and hold the [menu button] for 3 seconds. The display will show "Hxx".
3. Press the [play button] repeatedly until the correct water hardness setting is displayed.
4. To save settings, press and hold the [menu button] for 3 seconds.

Programmes

Programme data measured per EN 60436. Consumption varies by programme and function. Running time may change if rinse aid system is off or needs refilling.

Adding Special Salt

To prevent appliance damage, add special salt just before starting a programme.

1. Unscrew and remove the lid of the special salt dispenser.
2. On initial start-up: Fill the dispenser completely with water.
3. Add special salt. Water will be displaced. Never add detergent.
4. Replace and turn the lid to close.

Adding Rinse Aid

1. Press the catch on the rinse aid dispenser lid and lift.
2. Add rinse aid up to the "max" mark.
3. Close the lid until it clicks.

Adding Detergent

1. Add detergent to the dry dispenser.
2. Close the lid until it clicks.

How to Use Your Appliance

1. Load dishwasher-safe tableware. Remove large food remnants. Ensure spray arms rotate freely.
2. Add detergent.
3. Switch on the appliance [power button].
4. Select the programme.
5. Start the programme [play button].
6. Remove tableware at programme end.
7. To cancel, press and hold the [Reset button] for approx. 4 seconds. The programme will cancel and end within approx. 1 minute.

Cleaning Filters

Check filters for residue after each wash.

1. Turn coarse filter anticlockwise [anticlockwise arrow] and remove filter system.
2. Pull down micro filter to remove.
3. Press locking catches together and lift coarse filter out.
4. Clean filter elements under running water.
5. Re-assemble filter system.
6. Insert filter system and turn coarse filter clockwise [clockwise arrow] until arrow markings align.

Cleaning Spray Arms

1. Unscrew upper spray arm and pull down to remove.
2. Pull up lower spray arm to remove.
3. Check and clean outlet nozzles for blockages under running water.
4. Insert lower spray arm until it clicks.
5. Insert and screw upper spray arm firmly in place.

Cleaning Wastewater Pump

1. Disconnect power supply.
2. Remove filter system.
3. Scoop out remaining water.
4. Prise off pump cover with a spoon and grip by crosspiece.
5. Lift pump cover inwards at an angle and remove.
6. Remove food remnants and foreign bodies from impeller area.
7. Insert pump cover and press down until it clicks.
8. Install filter system.
