The FireAngel FA6813 Carbon Monoxide (CO) Detector is designed to provide early warning of dangerous carbon monoxide levels in your home. This device utilizes an advanced electrochemical sensor to accurately detect CO gas, which is colorless, odorless, and highly toxic. It is a crucial safety device for any household.

This model is designed to replace previous FireAngel CO-9B and CO-9X models, offering enhanced features and reliability. It is powered by 2 AA batteries, ensuring continuous operation even during power outages.

WARNING: This device detects carbon monoxide gas. It is not designed to detect smoke, fire, or other gases. Carbon monoxide is a silent killer; it is invisible, odorless, and potentially fatal.

In Case of a CO Alarm:

Once batteries are installed, the device will perform a self-test and then enter normal monitoring mode. A small LED indicator may flash periodically to confirm it is active and monitoring.

5.2 Test Button Functionality

The large test button on the front of the detector serves multiple purposes:

  • Safety Test: Press the test button briefly to verify the proper functioning of the detector. A loud, sharp audible signal and 4 flashes of the red LED will confirm the alarm is working correctly. Perform this test regularly (e.g., weekly or monthly).
  • Sound Level Adjustment (Sound Test): Hold the test button down to cycle through different sound levels for the test alarm, allowing you to choose a comfortable volume.

5.3 Alarm Indications

When dangerous levels of carbon monoxide are detected, the FA6813 will alert you with:

5.4 Low Battery Indication and Sleep Easy™ Function

When the batteries are low, the device will indicate this with:

To temporarily silence the low battery alert for 8 hours, press the test button. This activates the Sleep Easy™ mode, allowing you to silence the low battery beep, while the orange LED continues to flash as a reminder to replace the batteries.
