5.2 Distance to Spot Ratio (D:S)
The INK-IFT01 has a Distance to Spot Ratio of 12:1. This means that at a distance of 12 units from the target, the measurement spot diameter will be 1 unit. For example, if you are 12 inches away from the target, the measurement area will be 1 inch in diameter. To ensure accurate readings, make sure the target area is larger than the spot size.

To switch between Celsius (℃) and Fahrenheit (℉), press the dedicated ℃/℉/Down Button located below the LCD screen. The display will update to show the selected unit.
5.4 Adjustable Emissivity
Emissivity is a measure of an object's ability to emit infrared energy. Different materials have different emissivities. The INK-IFT01 allows you to adjust the emissivity from 0.1 to 1.0 to improve measurement accuracy for various surfaces. To adjust emissivity, press the MODE button to enter the emissivity setting, then use the Up na Ala bọtịnụ ịgbanwe uru.
Refer to the following table for common emissivity values:
| Ihe onwunwe | Mmetụta |
|---|---|
| Aluminom (oxidized) | 0.20-0.40 |
| Brass (oxidized) | 0.61 |
| Iron (oxidized) | 0.78-0.82 |
| Ọla kọpa (oxidized) | 0.78 |
| Agba (matte) | 0.92-0.96 |
| Mmiri | 0.93-0.96 |
| Osisi | 0.90-0.95 |
| Ihe siri ike | 0.94 |
Note: This is a partial list. For a comprehensive emissivity table, please refer to the full product manual.
5.5 Multiple Applications
The INKBIRDPLUS INK-IFT01 is suitable for various non-contact temperature measurement tasks, including:
- Cooking and BBQ (surface temperature of grills, ovens, food)
- Automotive diagnostics (engine components, tires)
- Industrial maintenance (electrical panels, machinery)
- Home inspections (HVAC, insulation, refrigerators)
