3.2 Clip Application

  1. Separate the Command Strip from its liner.
  2. Press the black liner side of the strip firmly onto the back of the clip.

  4. Position the clip on the desired clean surface. Press the clip firmly against the wall for 30 seconds.
  5. Wait 1 hour before hanging any items on the clip. This allows the adhesive to reach maximum strength.

Once installed, the Command Indoor Mini Light Clips are ready for use. Simply insert the light cord or small decoration into the clip.

These clips are designed for indoor use only and for lightweight items. Do not exceed the maximum weight capacity of 0.3 pounds per clip.

5. Removal and Maintenance

Command Strips are designed for clean removal without surface damage when instructions are followed.

5.1 Clean Removal

  1. Gently slide the clip upwards off the base.
  2. Hold the base of the clip gently.
  3. Slowly stretch the strip straight down along the wall, keeping your hand against the wall. Stretch at least 6 inches (15 cm) until the base and strip release from the wall.
  4. Do not pull the strip towards you or lift it off the surface. Always pull straight down.

The clips themselves can be reused with new Command Small Strips. Store unused clips and strips in a cool, dry place.

    • Confirm that the paint on the wall has cured for at least seven days if recently painted.
  • Clip falling off:
    • Check if the weight of the item exceeds the 0.3 lb capacity per clip.
    • Review surface preparation and application steps.
    • Ensure the strip was stretched straight down during removal, not pulled outwards.
  • Surface damage upon removal:
    • This typically occurs if the strip was not stretched straight down or if used on an unsuitable surface (e.g., wallpaper, textured walls).
    • Always follow the removal instructions carefully.
