SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read all safety instructions and warnings before using this product. Improper use and failure to follow safety guidelines could result in damage, excess heat, toxic fumes, fire, explosion, electrical shock, or other hazards causing serious and/or fatal injury and/or property damage that is not the manufacturer’s responsibility. The user is responsible for maintaining this product with care for maximum use.
GENERAL
- To avoid the risk of electric shock and/or damage to the internal circuitry and components, do not plug your soundbar’s AC power cord into a power outlet until you have fully completed setting up your home theater surround sound system.
- Always ensure that the power is switched off before connecting or disconnecting devices from the soundbar. Always ensure that the power cord is unplugged before moving the soundbar.
- When unplugging the AC power cord from the wall outlet, grip the connector only. Do not pull the power cable itself.
- The product is not waterproof. Do not expose the product or its components to moisture, including rain and high humidity. If any liquid or other foreign object enters the unit(s), unplug the power cord and discontinue use immediately.
- Do not place any objects on top of your subwoofer, on top of your soundbar, or top of your satellite speakers.
- Unplug the soundbar when not in use for an extended period.
- Unplug the soundbar during thunderstorms to protect the system from power surges due to lightning.
- Handle with care. Avoid excessive drops, bumps, and abrasions.
- If the unit has dents, punctures, tears, deformities, or corrosion, discontinue use and contact the manufacturer or dispose of appropriately.
- If you find this product rapidly increasing in temperature, emitting odor, deformed, abraded, or demonstrating an abnormal phenomenon, discontinue use immediately.
- Do not attempt to modify, disassemble, or repair this product.
- Disposal of the unit in the garbage is unlawful under state and federal environmental laws and regulations.
- Permanent hearing loss may occur if you listen at high volumes. Set the volume to a safe level.
INSTALLATION - Do not install the system in an area with heavy dust, high humidity, or inadequate ventilation. Do not install in the vicinity of flammable liquids or gases, propane tanks, large engines, high-voltage devices, or heat sources such as radiators and ovens.
- The opening on the side of the subwoofer is designed to release air pressure from inside the housing. To prevent damage to the internal components and to ensure optimal operation, do not block or obstruct this opening. Allow at least 6 inches of clear space around the opening.
- Protect the power cord from being walked on, pinched, or folded together.
- Keep the components away from direct sunlight.
- Not intended for use in tropical climates or in environments above an elevation of 1.2 miles (2 kilometers)
CLEANING - Unplug the power cord before cleaning.
- Use only a soft, dry cloth. The unit is not waterproof. Do not submerge or expose to corrosive materials. Do not clean with harsh chemicals, soaps, or detergents.
- If you must remove stubborn dirt, mild detergents poured onto the soft cloth can be used to remove stubborn dirt. Never use volatile chemicals such as benzene or paint thinners, as these will damage the units.

CONNECTING TO YOUR TV
Most TVs have multiple audio output ports, but your soundbar only requires one connection. Select the cable that works best with your TV:
HDMIARC (recommended)
- Connect one end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI ARC input port on the soundbar. The port is marked ARC.
- Connect the other end of the cable to the HDMI output port on your TV.
Digital Optical (recommended)
- Connect one end of the digital optical cable to the digital optical input port on the soundbar. The port is marked OPT.
- Connect the other end of the cable to the digital optical output port on your TV.
3.5mm Aux
- Connect one end of the 3.5mm aux cable to the 3.5mm aux input port on the soundbar. The port is marked AUX.
- Connect the other end of the cable to the 3.5mm aux output port on your TV or other audio device (phone, tablet, computer, MP3 player, etc.)
NOTE: Not all TVs have the same selection of audio output ports. If you’re unsure which audio output ports your TV has, refer to your TV’s user manual.
INSTALLATION: SATELLITE SPEAKERS and SUBWOOFER
OVERVIEW

NOTE: For the best sound quality, do not block this opening.
CONNECTING TO YOUR SOUNDBAR
- Connect the free end of your satellite speaker’s cable to the Satellite Speaker Left output port (SL) on the sound bar.
- Connect the free end of your satellite speaker’s cable to the Satellite Speaker Right output port (SR) on the sound bar.
- Connect the free end of your subwoofer’s cable to the Subwoofer output port (SUB) on the soundbar.
NOTE: The two satellite speakers and the subwoofer receive power from the soundbar through their built-in cables. They do not require separate power cables, so they won’t take up multiple outlets in your room.
POWER ON and SETUP
INSTALLING THE REMOTE’S BATTERIES
- Remove the battery compartment cover.
- Insert 2 AAA batteries according to the markings inside the compartment.
- Replace the cover.
PLUGGING IN AND POWERING ON
- Plug your soundbar’s AC power cord into a power outlet.
- Turn on your TV.
- Press the
button on the remote or on the soundbar to turn on your new surround sound system.
NOTE: For reliable functionality, please point the remote directly at the sensor (located next to the LED Status Display). The remote must remain within 26 feet (8 meters) of the soundbar and a maximum angle of 30 degrees to the sensor.
SETTING THE AUDIO INPUT MODE
Press the MODE button on the remote. The LED Status Display on the soundbar will indicate the active input mode.
If you connected the soundbar to your TV with the HDMI cable, change the audio input mode until the display shows ARC.
If you connected the soundbar to your TV with the Digital Optical cable, change the audio input mode until the display shows OPt.
If you connected the soundbar to your TV with the 3.5mm AUX cable, change the audio input mode until the display shows AUX.
MANUALLY SETTING YOUR TV’S AUDIO OUTPUT MODE
Many TVs are now built with smart technology that automatically changes the TV’s audio output settings to utilize the newly connected sound system. If no audio is playing from your sound system, you must manually set your TV’s audio output mode to match your sound system’s input mode. Refer to your TV’s user manual for more information.
NOTE: If no audio is playing while your sound system and TV are both set to Digital Optical mode, try setting your TV’s audio output mode to PCM.

EQ MODES
BLUETOOTH® WIRELESS STREAMING
PAIRING WITH YOUR SOUND SYSTEM
Press the MODE button on the remote until the system enters Bluetooth pairing mode. The LED Status Display will begin blinking bt.
While the system is in Bluetooth pairing mode, open the Bluetooth menu on your phone, tablet, or computer. Enable searching for available devices.
- HyperGear S851 Select “HyperGear S851” to pair with your sound system. Once connected, the LED Status Display will stop blinking and remain solid while in Bluetooth mode.
- While in Bluetooth mode, it is recommended to control your playlist or other media using the controls on your Bluetooth device. Not all of the remote’s buttons and functions are supported by every application and streaming platform.
UNPAIRING
- The sound system will automatically reconnect to your phone, tablet, or computer the next time you switch to Bluetooth mode.
- If you wish to pair the sound system with a different phone, tablet, or computer, find the sound system in your device’s Bluetooth menu and select “Forget This Device” or “Unpair”.
NOTE: Your Bluetooth device must remain within 33 feet (10 meters) of your soundbar or the wireless connection will be lost.
MP3 PLAYBACK
PLAYING FROM A USB DRIVE
Insert a USB Drive into the USB port on the right side of the soundbar.
Press the MODE button the remote until the system enters MP3 Playback Mode. The LED Status Display will show 0003.
NOTE: The maximum size USB drive supported is 32 GB. Compatible with MP3 audio files only.
CONTROLS
While in MP3 Playback mode, your playlist must be controlled using the remote.
MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS
ADVANCED: WALL-MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING
- To avoid risk of electric shock and/or damage to your home, you must be familiar with the layout of the electrical wiring in the wall of your home.
- If you are not familiar with the layout of your home’s electrical wiring, or if you are uncomfortable with power tools, DO NOT attempt to mount the soundbar yourself. Consult a professional home theater installer instead.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Wall-mounting kit (included)
- Pencil with eraser
- Stud finder
- Power drill
- Tape measure,
- Screwdriver (Phillips-head)
- Level
- Hammer
PREPARATION
Ideally, at least one of the mounting screws should be driven directly into a wall stud. This will provide secure and stable support.If one or both of the screws cannot be driven directly into a stud, you will need to use the drywall anchor(s) included in the mounting kit.
- Use a stud finder to locate the studs in your wall. Mark their locations lightly using a pencil.
- Mark the position of the mounting screws on the wall using a pencil. Leave 4 to 6 inches of space between the top of the soundbar and the bottom of your TV.
INSTALLATION - Drill pilot holes using an electric drill. Remember that holes for drywall anchors will require a larger bore. If drilling into studs only, skip to Step 5.
- Insert the drywall anchor(s) into the hole(s) using a hammer.
- Drive the mounting screws almost all the way into the drywall anchor(s) or pilot holes, leaving about 1/3-inch exposed.
- Carefully hang the soundbar onto the exposed portions of the mounting screws. Ensure that they are firm and stable.
TROUBLESHOOTING
There is no sound. |
If the LED Status Display is blinking:
• The volume is muted. Press the MUTE button to unmute the sound system.

If your Bluetooth device will not successfully pair with your sound system:
- Perform a soft reset of your device by powering OFF, then back ON, then follow the pairing instructions.
- Your device may be out of range. Try pairing while your device is within 3 feet of the sound bar.
- Your device’s battery level may be too low. Fully charge your device.
If your Bluetooth device is connected but there is no sound:
- Ensure that the sound system’s volume and/or the volume of your Bluetooth device is not muted or set to 0.
- Open the Bluetooth menu on your phone, tablet, or computer, and find the sound system in the list of connected devices. Open the settings, select “Forget This Device” or “Unpair”, then follow the pairing instructions .
Bluetooth mode is not working properly.
If your Bluetooth device is connected but the sound is too low/ too high/poor quality:
- Adjust the volume level on your Bluetooth device.
- Note: Some apps and programs have their own sound settings separate from the general device settings. Make sure to adjust those as well, as needed.
- Move away from or turn off nearby devices that may be generating interference, such as another Bluetooth device or a wireless router.
- • Try turning off your device’s Wi-Fi to improve audio quality.
• Closing non-essential applications on your phone may improve audio quality. Running multiple applications can reduce the amount of internal resources available to transmit audio clearly.
