Install Your Decoder System
Quicker to install than traditional decoder systems. This unique, 24 VAC signaling system is simple to set up and troubleshoot with standard tools. Compatible with web-based smart watering platforms and wireless ROAM or ROAM XL Remotes for local management, EZDS simplifies irrigation control in every installation.
EZ Decoder
EZ Decoders are small, waterproof, and come with colour-coded wiring and a convenient LED status light. The system can also coexist with conventional output modules, allowing hybrid functionality of both direct-wired valves and decoder operations in the same controller. This technology also permits simple conversion of a conventionally wired system to two-wire using the existing wiring bundle. It’s that easy!
Features and Specifications
- No special wire or connectors required
(waterproof connections are encouraged) - No special grounding or surge arrestors required in-line to maximise time and money savings during installation
- Programmable decoders with no need to input individual serial numbers
- P/MV can activate via the two-wire path for distant systems
- EZ-1 and EZ-LR Decoders are IP68 rated, submersible

- Two-wire path: 24 VAC, 50/60 Hz
- EZ-1 output to solenoid: 24 VAC, 50/60 Hz
- EZ-LR output to solenoid: Proprietary low-voltage, high-frequency

Plug in a two-wire output module to enable irrigation solenoids, plus a master valve, on a single pair of wires. Then simply place EZ Decoders at each valve!

Use the wireless, handheld EZ-DT Diagnostic Tool to quickly assess the status of EZ Decoders in the field without uninstalling them. The Universal Decoder Stake Kit raises decoders off the ground to ensure convenient access for future servicing.
