The Lisa-Signolux »Plug-in receiver« helps people with hearing problems to cope with everyday life. It enables the perception of acoustic events in the home through visible signals.
The »Plug-in receiver« is part of a medical system and compatible with all devices of the Lisa-Signolux alerting system.

Package contents

Please check if all of the following components are included:

– Plug-in receiver  – User manual    – Warranty card

If the packaging or the packaging seal (round transparent sticker) is damaged, check the condition of the parts. If parts are missing or damaged, please contact your specialist dealer or the manufacturer directly.

Warning 1 Immediate safety instructions
– Before commissioning and using the device, read this manual carefully and completely. Observe the other warnings and safety instructions on pages 19 and 23.
– Keep this user manual in a safe place so that it is accessible to other users at all times. Each main user must be able to access it.
– Keep Lisa-Signolux devices out of the reach of children! This packaging contains small parts which may present a choking hazard!
– Flashes of light can trigger epileptic seizures in people with photosensitive epilepsy (PSE).
– After setting up the device, test the function of the alerting system!

Function

The plug-in receiver is a receiver for the signals of the various Lisa-Signolux transmitters and indicates these with a clearly visible flashing light.
6 illuminated event icons with symbols help to distinguish the signal source.

Displays and controls

Event icons:
The 6 evemnt icons help to distinguish between the various signal sources. They light up for 40 seconds after an incoming signal.

Transmitter battery status indicator:
The receiver informs about the state of the batteries of the transmitters:
– A low battery level of a transmitter is indicated by the red control light shining together with the symbol of the according transmitter when it’s signal is triggered.

Please replace the batteries of the according transmitter as soon as possible.

Function button »HUMANTECHNIK A-1«:
When the plug-in receiver is flashing, you can cancel the alert by pressing the function button.
Press it again to recall the last displayed event.
The function button is also used to program the receiver (see section ,,Linking transmitter alerts with event icons”).

Delete button »HUMANTECHNIK A-2«:
This button serves to remove transmitters assigned to an event icon (see section ,,Deleting transmitters”).

»AUX«-socket
The ,,AUX” connection socket is located on the underside. The following approved Humantechnik devices can be connected to this socket:

Vibrating pad (A-3303-0), Vibrating contraption (A-3310-0)

These are available as accessories. If an event is displayed, the message is relayed by these devices through pulses of vibration.

Warning 1 Safety instructions: DANGER due to electricity
– The front outlet must not be loaded over a maximum of 1000 watts!
– The device must not be opened by the user. There is a risk of electric shock if it is opened!
– Do not reach into the openings of the outlet with bare hands or a sharp metal object. Risk of electric shock!

In the event of damage, the appliance must be disconnected from the power supply. Damage has occurred if:
– the plug is damaged.
– the device has come into contact with liquids (e.g. drinks or water).
– the device is not working.
– the housing of the device is damaged.

This appliance is designed for use with 230 V AC / 50 Hz power outlets only.

To disconnect the device from the mains, unplug it from the socket. The device should be placed in an easily accessible and visible location so that you can quickly disconnect it from the mains if necessary.

Warning 1 Attention: Please do not plug multiple sockets into the appliance.

Setup
Connect the device

Plug the receiver into a well-visible mains socket. The event icons light up once and the device is ready to use. This self-test lets you know that the device is functioning properly.

Automatic pairing

Signolux devices can be used together immediately and without prior pairing when unpacked. Which event icon is displayed depends on the type of transmitter.
This information can be found in the user manual of the according transmitter.

Optional manual pairing

Note 1:
If a transmitter is to be displayed with an event icon of your own choice, this can be done as described in the chapter ,,Linking transmitter alerts with event icons”. However, this causes the receiver to lose the automatic pairing function and all transmitters previously indicated on the receiver must be individually paired.

Note 2:
Should there be repeated false alerts when using the preset transmitter indication, this may hint at a neighbouring Lisa-Signolux-installation causing interference. In this case, the problem can be solved by individually pairing all transmitter and receiver units within the setup, see ,,Linking transmitter alerts with event icons”.

Reset to factory defaults

Delete the pairing of each event icon (see ,,Deleting transmitters”). When all previously assigned transmitters have been removed from the memory of the receiver, the automatic pairing is restored and the transmitters are automatically displayed again.

Linking transmitter alerts with event icons

Up to 8 transmitters can be assigned to each event icon. This assignment can be adapted by pairing.
Please keep in mind that a transmitter can only be paired if it is not yet known in the memory of the receiver. If required, you might first have to delete the transmitter from the memory (see Deleting transmitters). To pair a transmitter with the receiver, do as follows:
a) Keep the function button pressed for some time. The event icons begin to light up in sequence. Let go of the function button as soon as the desired icon is lit. (e. g. doorbell icon)
b) Trigger the transmitter you want to assign to the lit up event icon. (e.g. operate the doorbell button).
c) Wait for about 20 seconds and test the function.

Deleting transmitters

If you wish to remove a transmitter assigned to an icon from the receiver memory:
a) Keep the function button pressed for a few seconds. The event icons begin to light up in sequence. Let go of the function button as soon as the desired symbol is lit.
b) Now press the function button and the delete button at the same time. All icons will briefly light up.

Please note: This will delete all transmitters which were assigned to the according icon.

Warnings and safety instructions

This chapter lists further important information for safe handling and other conditions for operation.

Warning 1 Safety instructions
– This device can not convey an alert in the event of a power failure. When equipping
your alerting system, also use Lisa-Signolux receivers that have an emergency power supply, e.g. Receiver T, receiver alarm clock, Receiver S.
