ProASIC Plus® Power Module (APA-POWER-MODULE) with FlashPro4/FlashPro5 is a programming solution for Microchip’s ProASIC Plus FPGA devices. The ProASIC Plus Power Module replaces the FlashPro_Lite programmer and is supported by the Flashpro software version 11.9 SPA6, which can be downloaded from the Microchip websit.
The following table lists the items included in the ProASIC Plus Power Module (APA-POWERMODULE) kit.

1.1. Software and Licensing (Ask a Question)
To work with APA-POWER-MODULE you need FlashPro programming tool, which is available as part of Programming and Debug v11.9 SP6A software.
To download the FlashPro programming tool, perform the following steps:
- Go to the Lab Programming and Debug Tools webpaj.
- Click the Software Download Archive tab, and then under the Programming and Debug v11.9 SP6A section, click Download Programming and Debug v11.9 SPA for Windows.

Working with ProASIC Power Module

To run any programming action on ProASIC Plus FPGA devices using FlashPro4/FlashPro5 programmer and ProASIC Plus Power Module, perform the following steps:
- Using a mini-USB cable, connect the FlashPro4 or FlashPro5 programmer to the PC where the FlashPro software is installed.
- Connect the FlashPro4 or FlashPro5 programmer to the 10-pin header of the APA-POWERMODULE using a 10-pin ribbon cable.
- Connect the 26-pin ribbon cable to both the APA-POWER-MODULE and the target board.

Enpòtan: In the APA Power Module, the 26-pin header was incorrectly marked with pins 2, 4, 24 and 26 labeled as VDD_P. These four pins must be designated as N/C (No Connect). The target board needs to provide VDD and VDDP power to FPGA pins only, not to the 26 pins header pins. - Connect the supplied power supply to the APA-POWER-MODULE and turn on the power switch.
The power LED should light up. - Turn on the power on your target board.
- Launch the FlashPro software, load the programming file, and execute any STAPL action.
