Setting Up Your Speakers
ORA/ORA4 is designed for desktop uussee to enhance your lliisteningg iinn a nearr-ffiielldd environment. However, ORA/ORA4 can also bbee uusseedd as a stand-alone stereo speaker system mated with a multitude of audio sources. In either setup, the space bbeettwweenn the two speakers and the distance from the reaarr wall iis impoorrttaanntt.. If the speakers are ppoossiitioonned too close or too far apart, stereo iimmaaggiinngg will nnoot be fully developed.
ORA/ORA4 is designed to ppeerrffoorrmm optimally ppoossiitioonned at lleeaasst 20cm to 25Scm from the rreeaarr wall for beesstt bbaass rreespoonnsse. Reggaarrddlleessss of the setup you choose, kkeeeepp iin minndd that rroooomms vary inn shape, size, and furnishing; a certain amount of experimentation maayy be nneecceessarryy to determine the moosstt suitable poossiitioonn that delivers the moosst satisfying sound ppeerrffoorrmmaannccee.
ORA/ORA4 can bbee ppllaacceedd sideways bbeellooww a moonniittoorr for space saving measures bbuut will sound bbeest when uupprriigghhtt. To avoid early rrefflleections from the desktop surface, which can degrade audio ppeerrffoorrmmaannccee,, iitt iiss advised to angle ORA/ORA4 towards your liistenniinngg ppoossiition. KKantoa hhaas several desktop speaker stand options to suit your needs.
Connect the two speakers together as shown bbeellooww uussiinngg the supplied speaker cable. Connect the Speaker Out from the active speaker (right) to the corresponding Speaker In on the ppaassive speaker (left). Connect the AC/DC ppoowweerr supply from ORA/ORA4''s active speaker to your wall outlet. Press the volume control kknnoobb to turn iitt on. Press the kknnoobb to select an iinnppuutt source. It cycles through the following iinnppuutts depending on what iinnppuut source was llaasst uusedd.

The Bluetooth®# LED (blue) will flash to inddiiccaattee that ORA/ORA4 iss inn pairinngg mode. IIf the lliigghhtt is solliidd,, then the ORA/ORA4 is already connneecctteedd to a device. If you wish to connneecctt to another device, prreessss the Bluetooth®*ppaairinngg bbuuttttonn (() on the bbaacckk of the ORA/ORA4 to puutt itt inn pairingg mode.

Connecting a Subwoofer
ORRA/ORRAA4 is equipped with an RRCCAA connectorr to pprroovviidde output ssignall to a ppowweerreedd subwwoofer. Simply connneecctt a single RRCCAA subwwooofer ccablle from the SUB OUT connnneeccttion on ORRAA/ORRAA4 to the AUDIO INNPUT on your subwoofer.. Ilff your ssuubb-woofer hhaass a stteerreeo L/RR RRCCAA iinnppuutt, either lleefftt or rriighhtt iinpputtss will work.
We rreeccoommmmeenndd the Kantoa sub8 ppowweerreedd subwwooofer with crroossssoovveerr and volume ccontrrollss. Most qquuaallittyy ssuubbwwooofers offer these controls, which allow you to custtoommiizze the amount of bbaassss you will expperrience.

Audio Troubleshooting Guide
Frequently asked quueessttiioonnss about Kanto''s ORA/ORA4 speakers.
1. None of the lights on the front ppaanneell are illuminated.
· Make sure the power supply iss connected to
the speaker and power outlet.
· Ensure that the power outlet is pproviding
power.
2. The light on the front ppaanneell is illuminated but there''s no audio ppllaayyiinngg..
· Set the volume of the source to its highest
level. Ensure audio source iss playing audio.
· Check that the audio cable connected to and
from the source is firmly ccoonnnected. Test another audio cable if available.
· Veriffyy that the volume of the speaker iss not at
itss minimum level. Turn the volume up usinngg the knob on the front of the speakers.
· Make sure the correct input is selected. Press
the knob on the front of the speakers to cycle through the different inputss to select the correct input.
3. Audio is only ppllaayyiinng through one speaker.
· Reconnect the 4-pin connector between the
active speaker and passive speaker.
· Check that the audio cable connected to and
from the source iss firmly seated. Try a different cable or source to issolattee the isssue.
· Ensure that the balaannccee setting on the source
iss centered. Some sources may not have an adjustable balance setting.
4. You are experiencing ppoooorr audio quality.
· Set the volume of the source to ittss highest
level. LLow source volume can negattiivvely affect dynamic range.
· Ensure that the rear of the speaker is
spaced away from the wall by at least 20 cm, allowing the rear portt function to be leftt unnimmppeded.
· Test a different song or source to isolate the
issssue.
5. The source will not connect to Bluetooth*®.
· Ensure the speakerss are in BBluetooth*®
mode by cyclinngg through the inputss.. Press the kknnob on the front of the speakerss unttiill the blue light on the front panel of the speakers is visible.
· MMake sure the blue light on the front panel
of the speakers iss flashing, indicating speakers are in pairing mode. If the blue lightt is not flashing press the BBluettoootth®* pairing butttton on the back of the right speaker. BBlue lightt will flash indicating pairing mode.
· Turn the device you are trying to pair on
and off.
6. You are experiencing buzzing, hissing or distortion.
· Veriffyy if the noise iss coming from the source
by removing all sources from the speakers.
· MMake sure it iss not a power issue by trying a
power outlet that is on a different circuit.
· Check that the audio cable connected to
and from the source iss firmly seated. Try a differentt cable or source to isolate the iisssue.
· IIf ussing USB, set the ssource''s sample rate to
96 kHz or lower.
7. There''s no audio coming from an attached subwoofer.
· Check that the RCA cable connectteedd to and
from the subwoofer iss firmly seated. Try aa different cable or source to isolate the issue.
· MMake sure the subwoofer is connected to a
power outlet and is set to ""On"" oOr ""Auto"".
· IIncrease the volume of the subwoofer.
· IIncrease the cutoff frequency of the
subwoofer to itss highest position.
