TOPENS M12 Remote Control User Manual

Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the TOPENS remote control. This remote control can be programmed to TOPENS/CASAR/MultiRuta openers directly. For operating other brands' openers, a TOPENS ERM12 Universal external receiver is required.

Important: The remote control must be programmed to the opener before operation. Refer to the gate/door opener user manual for detailed instructions. For safety, if any remote control is lost, erase and reprogram all other remote controls to establish a new security code.

Up to 8 remotes can be programmed for the opener. The TOPENS ERM12 Universal External Receiver supports programming up to 250 remotes.

1. How to Program the Remote Control to the Opener

Press and release the programming button (e.g., CODE SW, LNSW, Learn button) on the control board. The CODE LED (REM LED, LEARN LED, LCD, etc.) will illuminate or display the programming status. Press the button on the remote control twice within 2 seconds, holding the button for a moment between presses. The CODE LED will flash for 3 seconds and then turn off or display standby. The remote is now programmed.

2. How to Erase All Remote Codes

Press and hold the programming button on the control board until the LED (REM LED, LEARN LED, etc.) turns off or the LCD displays "dL". Release the button. All remote codes will be erased.

3. How to Replace the Batteries

The remote control uses 2 x CR2025 batteries.

1. Insert a coin into the slot on the back cover and rotate clockwise until the arrow points to "O".
2. Remove the back cover and replace the batteries with two new ones, ensuring the positive side is up.
3. Re-install the back cover and use a coin to rotate counter-clockwise until the arrow points to "C". The batteries have been successfully changed.

4. How to Extend the Remote Control Range

Pull the antenna out of the control box or receiver to increase the remote control range. Replacing the batteries with new ones can also help if the range has significantly decreased.
