Quick Setup Guide

1. Set the synergic welding process

The welding process selection screen displays options for material type (e.g., Steel, CrNi/Stainless, CuSi, AlMg, AlSi), electrode/wire type (e.g., Rutil/E71T, Metal Cored, Self-shielded), wire diameter (e.g., .023 0,6 to .045 1,2), shielding gas mixture (e.g., Ar 100%, CO₂ 100%, Ar + 2-5% CO₂, Ar+15-25% CO₂), and welding process mode (Synergic, Manual).

  • Synergic: When setting a welding power parameter, the remaining parameters are set automatically.
  • Stick: MMA welding.
  • TIG: TIG Welding.
  • Manual: The welding power parameters can be adjusted individually.

2. Set the filler metal and shielding gas

This screen allows selection of material type, wire type, wire diameter, and shielding gas composition.

3. Set the operating mode

The screen shows options for welding modes:

  • 2T: 2-step mode for short weld seams and tacking work.
  • 4T: 4-step mode for longer weld seams with high level of comfort.
  • S4T: Special 4-step mode with additional settings for starting and final current.
  • .../ Spot welding: For overlapping sheets or stitch welding light-gauge sheet metal and air-gap bridging.

4. Set the welding power

This interface allows adjustment of welding power parameters, including sheet thickness, welding current, and wire speed. Users can select and set desired parameters using navigation controls.

5. Set the correction parameters

This screen is for setting correction parameters such as arc length correction, welding voltage, and arc-force dynamic. Users can select and set desired parameters using navigation controls.

6. Optimize welding results

  1. Measure the welding circuit resistance.
  2. Set the mains fuse so that the device switches off before the mains fuse trips.

The description of the aforementioned measures can be found in the Operating Instructions of the power source.
