Danfoss AMV 110 NL, AMV 120 NL Operating Guide
This document provides essential information for the safe and effective operation of the Danfoss AMV 110 NL and AMV 120 NL actuators.
Safety Information
To prevent injury to persons and damage to the device, it is absolutely necessary to read and observe these instructions carefully. Necessary assembly, start-up, and maintenance work must be performed by qualified and authorized personnel only. Please comply with the instructions of the system manufacturer or system operator.
Caution: Do not touch anything on the PCB.
Caution: Do not manually operate the drive under power!
Caution: Do not dismount the actuator from the valve when it is in a stem down position! If dismounted in a stem down position, there is a high risk that the actuator gets stuck.
Mounting
The actuator should be mounted with the valve stem in either a horizontal position or pointing upwards. The actuator is fixed to the valve body by means of a ribbed nut which requires no tools for mounting. The ribbed nut should be tightened by hand.
Wiring:
- Grey: Stem down
- Black: Common
- Red: Stem up
Installation
- Check the valve's neck. The actuator should be in the stem up position (factory setting). Ensure that the actuator is mounted securely on the valve body. It is obligatory to set the actuator's stem to the upper position before installing it on the AB-QM valve (refer to manual override diagrams).
- Energize the actuator according to the wiring diagram.
- The direction of stem movement can be observed on the position indicator.
A click after energizing the actuator indicates that the gear wheel has jumped into the normal position.
Manual Override (for service purposes only)
Procedure:
- Remove the cover.
- Press and hold the button (on the bottom side of the actuator) during manual override.
- Place cover back on the actuator.
- Install actuator on valve.
