This device is intended for professional use as a professional media player. It can be installed only indoors. This device is not suitable for households.
Any other use, not mentioned under intended use, is regarded as non-intended and incorrect use.

DANGER Danger for children
For adult use only. The device must be installed beyond the reach of children.
· Do not leave any parts of the packaging (plastic bags, polystyrene foam, nails, etc.) within the reach of children. Packaging material is a potential source of danger for children.
DANGER Electric shock caused by dangerous voltage inside
There are areas inside the device where dangerous touch voltage may be present.

3. Description of the Device
The DAP MP-300SBU Professional Multimedia Player is a USB, SD card and BT 5.3 audio player and is designed for installation into a 19″ rack. The device features pitch, tempo and playback controls. It has an RCA line output and a set of balanced XLR outputs.
The DAP MP-300SBU Professional Multimedia Player supports a maximum storage capacity of 256 GB and plays FLAC, MP3 and WAV formats at up to 48 kHz sampling rate. An A2DP profile is supported for BT connectivity. The device can be operated using the controls on the front.

4. Installation and Setup
4.1. Warnings and Precautions
Attention Connect all data cables before supplying power. Disconnect power supply before connecting or disconnecting data cables.
4.2. Safety Instructions for Installation
Attention Make sure that there is enough space for ventilation around the device.
· Do not block the ventilation openings. Without proper heat dissipation and air circulation, the internal components may overheat. This can result in product damage.
· Do not install near equipment that produces heat, for example amplifiers.
4.3. Installation Site Requirements
· The device can be used only indoors. · The minimum distance to other objects must be bigger than 0,5 m. · The maximum ambient temperature ta = 50 °C must never be exceeded. · The relative humidity must not exceed 50 % with an ambient temperature of 50 °C.
4.4. Rack Mounting
The device can be mounted in a standard 19-inch rack. The device requires 1 rack unit (RU) of space. Make sure that the rack is sufficiently secured to prevent it from becoming unstable or falling over.
To mount the device in a two-post rack, follow the steps below:
01) Insert 4 cage nuts in the openings on the rack posts where you want to mount the device. 02) Position the device in front of the rack posts so that the 4 mounting openings (01) on the flanges face the
openings on the rack posts with cage nuts. 03) Use a screwdriver to mount the device to the rack posts with 4 screws.
4.5. Connecting to Power Supply
DANGER Electric shock caused by short-circuit
The device accepts AC mains power at 100240 V and 50/60 Hz. Do not supply power at any other voltage or frequency to the device.
This device falls under IEC protection class I. Make sure that the device is always electrically connected to the ground (earth).
Before connecting the device to the socket-outlet: · Make sure that the power supply matches the input voltage specified on the information label on the
device. · Make sure that the socket-outlet has ground (earth) connection.
Connect the device to the socket-outlet with the power plug. Do not connect the device to a dimmer circuit, as this may damage the device.

4.6. Start-up
To connect and use the device, follow the steps below:
01) Make sure that the device is switched off. 02) Connect speakers to the RCA analog line-level connectors OUT (Left/Right) (14) or 3-pin XLR balanced
connectors OUT (Left/Right) (15). 03) Press the power button (02) to switch on the device. 04) Connect an audio source (see 5.2. Media Sources on page 13). 05) Adjust the volume with the master level control knob (03). 06) Adjust the control options.
Note: Press the master level control knob (03) to make it flush with the front of the MP-300SBU Professional Multimedia Player.

5. Operation
5.1. Safety Instructions for Operation
Attention This device must be used only for the purposes it is designed for.
This device is intended for professional use as a professional media player. It can be used only indoors. This device is not suitable for households.
Any other use, not mentioned under intended use, is regarded as non-intended and incorrect use.
Attention Power supply
Before connecting the device to the power supply, make sure that the current, voltage and frequency match the input voltage, current and frequency specified on the information label on the device.
5.2. Media Sources
The MP-300SBU Professional Multimedia Player supports the following media sources:
· SD card (see 5.2.1. SD Card) · BT connection (see 5.2.2. BT Connection) · USB drive (see 5.2.3. USB Drive)
Note: If an SD card or USB drive does not contain any playable media, the source input buttons (04) for SD and USB do not function.
5.2.1. SD Card
To play audio from an SD card, follow the steps below:
01) Switch on the device. 02) Place an SD card into the SD card slot (12). 03) Press the source input button (04) for the SD card.
Note: Press an SD card that is in the SD card slot (12) to remove it.
5.2.2. BT Connection
To stream audio through BT follow the steps below:
01) Switch on the device. 02) Start BT on your mobile device. 03) On your mobile device scan for the available BT devices. The ID of the MP-300SBU Professional Multimedia
Player is “MP-300SBU”. 04) Pair your mobile device with the MP-300SBU Professional Multimedia Player. 05) Press the source input button (04) for BT.
Note: The MP-300SBU Professional Multimedia Player cannot be paired to more than 1 mobile device. Turn off BT on a paired mobile device or remove the MP-300SBU Professional Multimedia Player from the list of paired devices before pairing a new mobile device.

5.2.3. USB Drive To play audio from a USB drive, follow the steps below: 01) Switch on the device. 02) Place a USB drive into the USB-A connector in (11). 03) Press the source input button (04) for USB.

5.3.1. Display Options
The display button (A) has two functions:
· Press the display button (A) to view the following information for the current track: track folder name, track title name, artist name and album name
· Press and hold the display button (A) to enter the playback presets menu (see 5.3.1.1. Playback Presets)
5.3.1.1. Playback Presets
In this menu you can adjust the playback presets for the device.
Turn the folder/track control knob (09) to select one of the following 4 settings:
· Power on: · Repeat play:
· Auto cue: · Default:
Adjust if the device automatically starts playing a track when it is powered on Turn repeat playback in the current play mode (see 5.3.2. Play Mode on page 15) on or off Turn the auto cue function (see 5.3.8.2. Cue Functions on page 16) on or off Reset the device to the default factory settings
Press the folder/track control knob (09) to change or select a setting.

5.3.2. Play Mode
01) Press the play mode button (B) to enter the play mode menu.
02) Turn the folder/track control knob (09) to select one of the following 5 settings:
· SINGLE:
Play a single track
· CNT ALL:
Play all tracks on the current media source
· CNT FOLDER:
Play all tracks in the current folder
· RND ALL:
Play all tracks on the current media source in a random order
· RND FOLDER:
Play all tracks in the current folder in a random order
03) Press the folder/track control knob (09) to select a setting.
5.3.3. Time Display
The time display (18) on the LCD display (05) can displays how much time has elapsed or how much time is remaining for the current track.
Press the time button (C) to change the setting.
5.3.4. Loop Functions
You can play a play a section of a track on repeat by setting a start and end point for a loop.
To set a loop, follow the steps below.
01) Press A to set a start point for the loop. The A/B indicator (20) displays an “A”. 02) Press B to set the end point for the loop. The A/B indicator (20) displays “A-B” and “RELOOP”. The playback of
the loop starts immediately. 03) Press Exit/Reloop to release the loop. The track will continue playing as normal. 04) Press Exit/Reloop again to resume the loop. The loop will start playing again from point A. 05) Press and hold the time button (C) and press A to cancel the A and B points or press B to cancel only the B
point.
5.3.5. Folder and Track Controls
The folder/track control knob (E) has the following functions:
· Turn the folder/track control knob (E) left or right during playback to go to the previous or next track · Press down the folder/track control knob (E) and turn it left or right to move to the next folder · Turn the folder/track control knob (E) when in a menu to go through the options · Press the folder/track control knob (E) when in a menu to change or select an option
5.3.6. Pitch Mode
To change the pitch of the track that is playing, follow the steps below:
01) Press the pitch button (G) to enter pitch mode. 02) Turn the pitch control knob (H) to adjust the pitch. The pitch setting indicator (21) displays the current
setting. The range is -20 +20. 03) Press the tempo lock button (F) to resume normal playback while keeping the pitch setting. 04) Press the tempo lock button (F) again to resume playback with the adjusted pitch. 05) Press the pitch knob (G) to exit pitch mode.
5.3.7. Pitch Bend Controls
To temporarily change the pitch and tempo of the track that is currently playing, follow the steps below:
01) Press and hold the + or – from the tempo and pitch buttons (I) to temporarily speed up or slow down the track.
02) Release the + or – from the tempo and pitch buttons (I) to resume normal playback.

5.3.8. Playback Functions
The MP-300SBU Professional Multimedia Player has the following options for track playback:

5.3.8.1. Next Track
01) Press the Next track button during playback. “Next Track” is displayed on the LCD display (05) for 2 seconds to confirm that the next track for playback is reserved. The Next track button lights up.
02) Use the folder/track control knob (09) to select a folder and track (see 5.3.5. Folder and Track Controls on page 15). The folder and track number flash on the LCD display (05) (see 3.3. LCD Display on page 8).
03) Press the Next track button again to cancel the track reservation. The Next track button turns off.
5.3.8.2. Cue Functions
There are multiple ways to cue a track with the cue button:
· If a track is reserved with the next track button, the reserved track will play from the start · If no track is reserved and auto cue is active (see 5.3.1.1. Playback Presets on page 14), the current track
will play from the point where the music starts · If a track is reserved with the next track button and auto cue is active (see 5.3.1.1. Playback Presets on
page 14), the reserved track will play from the point where the music starts · If no track is reserved and auto cue is not active, the current track will play from the start

6. Troubleshooting
This troubleshooting guide contains solutions to problems which can be carried out by an ordinary person. The device does not contain user-serviceable parts.
Unauthorized modifications to the device will render the warranty void. Such modifications may result in injuries and material damage.
Refer servicing to instructed or skilled persons. Contact your Highlite International dealer in case the solution is not described in the table.
