Weighing system
The weighing system consists of a weight indicator and two load bars, which are installed under the platform or chute.
(Tips: you may also need adaptor plates for your chute.)
Use Assembly
Step 1.
Select a horizontal and firm ground for the load bars
( Tips: Must be installed on a horizontal ground to weigh accurately)
Step 2.
Lift the cattle chute from the center through using a forklift (Avoid contact with the installation area) and maintaining minimal clearance to slide the load bar into place.
Step3
Slide the load bar into one side, align the load bar’s mounting holes with the cattle chute hole, lower the cattle chute slowly, let it almost touch the load bars, take out the M10 bolts*16pcs, use a wrench to fix the load bar at both ends with M10 bolts and nuts. Repeat step three for another one.
Step 4.
Carefully lower the cattle chute, then depart away. Secure the foot plate to the ground with anchor bolts*16pcs
Step 5.
Connect the load bar to an indicator, power on, and zero the indicator (e.g, fox)
E.G Connect Fox Indicator
Step1
Hold the black plug and insert it into the hole. We have set up corresponding raised parts and recesses for proper alignment.
Step2.
- Turn clockwise to tighten.
Step3.
Tighten the other end in the same manner by turning counter clockwise.
Tips
- When removing the connector, hold the connector body itself. Do not pull it out by holding the blue cable, as this may cause damage and affect the weighing accuracy.
- After use, cover the connector with the black cap to prevent dust from entering and causing blockages, which may affect precision.
Testing
Must test with a weighing indicator.
Step 1
Put a test weight(which may be yourself or another person) at one end of the platform/crate and note the stable reading on the indicator.
Step 2
Take the weight off and put it on the other end of the platform/crate, and note the stable reading on the indicator.
Step 3
Remove the test weight and note whether the reading returns to zero.
Step 4
If the two readings differ by more than 1% of capacity or the reading does not return to zero, see the troubleshooting section.
Tips: During use, if the device has not been used for a period of time, repeat the above test before using it for the first time.
Troubleshooting
Fault | Remedy |
Reading does not return to zero between animals/Difference in readings at each end of the platform/Under reading(reading lighter than expected) |
1. Ensure that the platform/crate is not touching objects that may alter the weights. Typical causes are binding against fixed metalwork or the buildup of dirt. 2. Check that the load bar feet are sitting evenly on the ground. 3. Check that bolt holes are not misaligned, as this may put a residual load on the load bars. 4. Recalibrate the load bars |
Reading is unstable |
1. Moisture in the load bar connector. Remove moisture from the plugs and caps using methylated spiriEthylthyl alcohol, or a suitable electrical contact cleaner. 2. Damaged cable. 3. Moisture in the load cell. 4. Moisture in the junction box. |
Reading moves, the display shows underload or overload. | 1. Damaged cable. 2. Damaged indicator. |

Further Information
- Do not leave the indicator, load bars, or plugs immersed in water.
- Cables should be placed correctly so that they will not be damaged.
- Regularly clean up manure and fertilizer buildup around the load bar to ensure weighing accuracy.
