General Description
The HI6000 is Hanna Instruments advanced meter with a large touch screen display and streamlined design.
Hardware modules
Four hardware modules are available for the HI6000. Hardware modules and preconfigured meters can be ordered from your local sales office.
Key Features
- Meter can be customized to laboratory and application needs
- User profiles allow for quick and direct measurement without updating the settings
- Log files can be transferred to a USB flash drive
- Ethernet and Wi-Fi network data sharing options are available
Getting Started
A. Insert the hardware module into the module bay (1). The module is seated correctly when the latching mechanism is locked into the housing.
Note: Use the blank cover to keep empty module bays protected.
B. Place the meter face down and attach the electrode holder base plate (2).
C. Connect the external stirrers (magnetic or overhead), electrodes and power adapter to rear panel of the meter.
D. Connect the power plug and press the black ON/OFF power button (3).
Note: Remove the transparent film that protects the capacitive touchscreen prior to operating the meter.

Select Operating Language
- At first powering on the meter launches into a startup tutorial.
- By default English is selected.
- Use the language window to select the operating language.

Log in & Create New Account
- Tap

“Admin” account is automatically created. - Tap the plus symbol avatar.
- Input user name and tap
. - Enter password and tap. Re‑enter password to confirm.
Battery Safety
This product contains non-replaceable batteries.
WARNING
- INGESTION HAZARD: This product contains a button cell or coin battery.
- DEATH or serious injury can occur if digested.
- A swallowed button cell or coin battery can cause Internal Chemical Burns in as little as 2 hours.
- KEEP new and used batteries OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
- Seek immediate medical attention if a battery is suspected to be swallowed or inserted inside any part of the body.
- Remove and immediately dispose of used batteries according to local regulations and keep away from children. Do NOT dispose of batteries in household trash or incinerate.
- Even used batteries may cause severe injury or death.
- Call a local poison control center for treatment information.
- Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
- Do not force discharge, recharge, disassemble, heat above 85 ˚C. Doing so may result in injury due to venting, leakage or explosion resulting in chemical burns.
