7.1. Difficulty with Self-Tapping Screws

If you encounter difficulty with the self-tapping screws during assembly:

  • Ensure the screw is aligned perfectly straight with the hole before applying pressure.
  • Apply steady, firm pressure while turning the screw. The screw is designed to cut its own threads into the metal.
  • Using a power drill with a suitable bit at a low speed can assist, but avoid over-tightening.
  • Do not force the screw if it feels misaligned, as this can strip the threads. Remove, realign, and try again.

7.2. Rack Instability

If the rack feels unstable after assembly:

  • Verify that all screws and fasteners are fully tightened.
  • Ensure the rack is placed on a completely level surface (for floor-standing).
  • Check that equipment weight is distributed evenly.
  • For wall-mounted racks, re-verify the security of the wall anchors and mounting points.
