install the “Smart Life/GO SMART” APP
- You may find the “Smart Life /GO SMART app on the Apple App store, Google Play, or Scan the QR code below and install it;
- Please open the Smart Life App. Click register and type in your email address to automatically create an account, otherwise type in your phone number to get a verification code to create an account. If you already have a smart life account, simply click Login.
- The free app “Smart Life” and “GO SMART” are compatible with mobile devices that support iOS 8.0 above, Android 4.4 above
Connecting Your Socket with Smart Life (Recommend)
Easy Mode (Recommend)
Please open the “Smart Life App”. Tap the “Add Devices” or the “+” sign at the upper right hand corner of the page and select “All Devices”, then select”Electrical Outlet”. Please also make sure that the Gosound SOcket is connected or plugged at the3 same time.
- Then long press the on/off button of the device for about 5 seconds until the indicator light rapidly blinks
- Make sure the indicator light is flashing rapidly and confirm it in-app.
- Choose your home Wi-Fi (make sure the Wi-Fi connection you choose is the same connection/Wi-Fi you used on your phone /device and it should be 2.4 GHz not 5GHz). Enter the correct password to confirm. If Wi-Fi is 5 GHz or the password is incorrect, it will lead to “connection failure”
- Wait to successfully configure, then tap “Completed. “.
AP Mode
- Please switch to “AP Mode” if the connection fails in “Easy Mode”. The AP mode is located at the upper right hand corner of the “Add device” page.
- Long press the on/off button until the indicator light fashes slowly;
- Make sure the indicator light is flashing slowly and confirm it in App;
- Choose your home Wi-Fi and enter the correct password and confirm it in APP;
- Tap “Connect Now and”, choose a Wi-Fi hotspot named “Smart Life XXX”, then go back to the “Smart Life” application;
- Wait to successfully configure, then tap “Completed”

Devices
- You can add listed devices by tapping the”+” at the top right of this page.
Switches
- Switches allow you to turn on/off your device anywhere. As long as you have an internet connection you can control the device in your home. Tap the icon at the upper right of the page and will be able to modify the devices name or even create a group (if you have several devices), which means you can turn multiple devices on or off at the same time.
Timer
- With the timer feature, you can automatically switch on/off the household appliance you are currently using (example: Electric kettle).
Schedule
- You can set the devices on or off at a specific time as you want using this function.
Smart Scenes
- With this function, you can create your character as you want.
Profile
- The profile will show the personal information you saved on the app. You can change/manage it anytime.
Safety Information
- The device is recommended for indoor use and dry locations only. Power outlet shall only be used within its published outlet rating stated on the instructions. Please contact the seller for replacement in case there is damage caused by transportation. Please plug the socket properly and away from children for safety purposes and do not disassemble the socket, otherwise, it may damage the product or may cause security risks.
Using Amazon Echo Quick Guide What You’ll Need
- Amazon Alexa APP & Account Smart Life APP & Account
- (You need to register an account. Select region as “The United States”)
- Echo, Echo Dot Tap, or other Amazon Voice operated devices Mini Smart Socket
Tip: Rename the device after configuring successfully. It is recommended that you will use an easy name. (Amazon Echo only supports English temporarily)
- Sign in with an Alexa account & password (if not registered, sign up first). Then, log in. Click the menu at the top left then click “Settings” and choose “Set up a new device”
- Choose a device (for example Echo). When the right page appears, long press the small dot on your Echo device until the light turns to yellow. Then click “Continue” on App.
- Choose users’ Wi-Fi and wait for few minutes.
- After an introduction video, click the next step, it will turn to the “Home” page automatically. Now the Echo is connected to Alexa APP through Wi-Fi successfully.
(Note: at this time the mobile phone cannot open a variety of VPN software)
Enable Our Skill in Alexa APP
- Choose “Skills” in the options bar, and then search “Smart Life” in the search bar; Select “Smart Life” in the search bar results, and then click “Enable.”
- Type in the username and password that you had previously registered. When you see the below page, it means the Alexa account is linked with the Smart Life account.
Control Smart Socket by Voice
- After the previous operation, you can control the socket via Echo.
Discovering devices
Firstly, users need to say to Echo, “Echo or Alexa, discover my devices.” Echo will start to find the devices which is added in Smart Life App. It will take about 20 seconds to show the result. Or you may click “Discover devices” on the Alexa App, and it will successfully show available devices.
Note: “Echo” is one of the three wake-up names, the other two names are Alexa /Amazon.
Supports Skill List
Users can control devices by instructions like below:
- “Alexa, turn on/off (name of the smart plug).”
- “Alexa, turn on the lamp.”
- “Alexa, turn off the lamp.”
Attention: The name of the device must be consistent with the addition of the Smart Life APP.
Warranty
This Mini socket is covered by a limited warranty from Gosund for the original purchaser that covers the product from defects in workmanship and materials for 12 months from the date of purchase. Damages through normal wear and tear, alteration, misuse, neglect, accident, service y anyone other than the authorized service center, or act of God are not included. During the warranty period and upon verification of defects, this product will be replaced when returned with proper proof of purchase.
