Important Safety Instructions and Precautions

Godox LED lights, or products used with them, should only be operated by professionals. Carefully read and fully understand the instruction manual before use and strictly follow the safety instructions. Failure to do so may result in death, serious injury, damage to the product, or other property damage.

Danger

• Do not use damaged product. Stop using immediately if the product shell is cracked due to falling, squeezing, or strong impact, to avoid touching the internal electronic components and getting an electric shock.
• Please use only the accessories recommended by our factory to avoid fire, electric shock or personal injury. If an extension cord is required, use the original extension cord or one recommended by the manufacturer (an extension cord with a current rating greater than or equal to that of the equipment). Extension cords rated at less than that of the equipment may cause fire, electric shock, other serious personal injury hazards, or property damage.
• Use only intact ground connection cables or ground extension cables that have been expressly recognized by the manufacturer for use in the operation of powered products. Damaged or twisted connection cables must be replaced immediately! The product has a long input power cord, so please place the power cord in a safe position to avoid it coming into contact with overheated objects, being improperly placed and causing damage by pulling, or tripping over on-site personnel.
• Do not disassemble the product without permission. If the product malfunctions, it must be checked and repaired by authorized maintenance personnel. If the lamp bead is damaged or deformed by heat, stop using it, and contact the manufacturer, service agent or qualified maintenance personnel to replace the lamp bead in time to avoid accidents.
• Do not use and store this product in explosive atmospheres (near flammable volatile solvents such as alcohol, gasoline, or gases such as methane and ethane).
• When cleaning and repairing the product, turn off the power before unplugging the product’s power cord from the power outlet. When not in use, do not pull the power cord to unplug the product from the power outlet. Unplug the product from the power outlet by grasping both ends of the plug with your hands.

Warning

• This equipment is not waterproof, please keep it dry and do not immerse it in water or other liquids. The equipment should be installed in a dry and ventilated place, and avoid using it in rainy, humid, dusty or overheated environments.
• Do not block or cover the heat dissipation port of the product.
• After use, the product should be completely cooled before packaging.

Attention

• All transport protective materials and packages on the product must be removed before use.
• When not in use, please turn off the product and stop the power supply promptly.

Proper Storage of the Diffusion

In order to prolong the performance and service life, please properly store and protect the diffusions AD32 andAD33 as follows.

1. The reel is equipped with velcro, which is an important storage tool for the diffusion and should not be discarded.
2. Roll the reel with the Velcro tightly and slowly horizontally according to the correct orientation as shown, pay attention to the fit of diffusion and reel, and the diffusion should not be smaller than the outer diameter of the reel, then properly keep them after rolling up.
3. When taking out the diffusion, tear the velcro lightly and slowly, do not tear it to the end with force.
4. Improper operation of the diffusion may cause cracking, blistering and other damages, which will not be covered by the warranty.

Mount onto the Bracket
Place the diffusion with the wire side up, stick it flat onto the bracket with Velcro.

Power Supplies
Connect the diffusion to the controller: connect one end of the AC signal control cable to the cable of diffusion, the other end into the AC input port of the controller.

Battery Power Supply
V-mount Battery AD00-01
Insert one end of the D-TAP to USB-C adapter cable into the separately purchased V-mount battery, and the other end into the controller.

NPF Battery AD00-02
Insert one separately purchased 7.4V NPF battery into the battery slot of the controller.

External Adapter Power Supply
Insert one end of the USB-C data cable into the power source, the other end into the USB-C port of the controller.

Note: The USB-C data cable is not included in controller AD00-02, and need to separately purchased.

Power Switch
After connecting the power, turn the controller switch button to < | > to turn on the power, and turn it to < O > to turn off the power;

After inserting a separately purchased DMX adapter cable DMX-C2 into the USB-C port of the controller, the fixture is equipped with DMX outputs and inputs, then wired DMX connection can be realized by connecting the separately purchased DMX cable to the controller.

Note: The DMX512 connection is for illustration only, the controller and connecting cable are sold separately.

Menu
Press the MENU button to enter menu interface, rotate and press the SET button to enter and adjust the following setting options, press the MENU button can return to the menu interface.

Note: The menu interface takes AD00-01 as an example, AD00-02 doesn’t have CRMX function.

Type
Press the SET button to enter type interface, rotate and press the SET button to choose among AD33, AD32 or AD21.

DMX
Press the SET button to enter DMX settings, rotate and press the SET button to adjust the parameters.

Bluetooth
Press the SET button to enter Bluetooth settings, rotate and press the SET button to turn on/off, or reset. The MAC code is on the corner for quick check.

“GODOX Light” app Downloading
Scan the QR code to download the “Godox Light” smartphone app (can be used in Android and iOS).

Note:

1. The app can be used directly on the firstly installed device (smartphone or iPad). When change to other mobile device (smartphone or iPad), the light shall be reset before the normal connection of the app.
2. The app should be version 3.0 or above.

“GODOX Light” app Firmware Upgrade
Open Godox Light, enter a certain scene and click “” to add a fixture, then click to display more settings, choose firmware upgrade.

Frequency
Press the SET button to enter frequency settings, rotate and press the SET button to adjust to default or other mode (1st-5th gear).

Follow
Press the SET button to enter follow settings, rotate and press the SET button to adjust to lead mode.

Note: The DMX mode of the device under control is 03: Ultimate 8 Bit by default in lead mode.

Display
Press the SET button to enter display settings, rotate and press the SET button to adjust the display brightness from 10% to 100%.

Language
Press the SET button to enter language settings, rotate and press the SET button to select between simplified Chinese and English.

Version & Upgrade
Press the SET button to enter version & upgrade interface to check the firmware version and upgrade instruction.

Firmware Upgrade via U Disk

1. Download the new firmware to the U disk from official website (https://www.godox.com/firmware-continuous-light).
2. Turn off the device. Insert the U disk with new firmware into the USB-A port.
3. Turn on the device, and it will automatically enter the upgrading interface.
4. It will return to main interface after completion.

Notes:

1. New firmware must be downloaded from the official website, and keep only one BIN file in the root directory of the USB disk.
2. The USB-A port can only support output voltage and current of 5V 1.5A. Do not connect to over-rated USB device.
3. The USB-A port is only available for controller AD00-01. For controller AD00-02, please upgrade in the “Godox Light” app.

Factory Reset
Press the SET button to enter factory reset interface to choose apply or cancel.

Fixture Info
Press the SET button to enter fixture info interface to check the product basic information.
