Product Usage Instructions
- The smart door lock KD30 features fingerprint recognition, keypad entry, and keyhole access.
- It includes status lights for different indications and a USB Type-C emergency power supply port.
- Remove the battery cover and plug in the cable securely.
- Fix the interior assembly with the provided screws.
- Test the lock by rotating the thumb turn to ensure smooth bolt extension and retraction.
- Install the battery and put the cover back on.

Product Installation
Compatible Doors
Prepare the door and check the dimensions. If the hole size isn’t correct, you can drill holes in the door based on the installation template included in the package.
Prepare Exterior Assembly
If you have a 38mm cross bore, please remove the screw and remove the positioner before installation. If you have a 54mm cross bore, please install it directly.
Install the deadbolt
How to adjust the length of the deadbolt?
- Backset 2-3/8”: install directly.
- Backset 2-3/4”: extend the bolt.
Install Mounting Plate
- Ensure the deadbolt is in the unlock position
- Ensure the emergency key works normally
- Route the cable through the mounting plate hole
- Ensure the paddle is in the center of the hole
- Fix the mounting plate with mounting screws
Install Interior Assembly
- Remove the battery cover
- Plug in the cable and ensure tight the cable connection
- Fix interior assembly with interior screws 9and 8
- Test the lock by rotating the thumb turns to see if the bolt can be extended and retracted smoothly
- Install the battery and put the battery cover on
First Startup
Step 1. Lock Direction
This lock can automatically adapt to the actual operation direction when the factory settings are restored, so as to be compatible with left-opening doors, right-opening doors, inward-opening doors, and outward-opening doors. You will hear: “Lock direction setting succeeded”, which indicates that the lock direction has been set successfully.
Step 2. Restore Factory Settings
Long-press the reset button until all 5 beep sounds finish, and you will hear: Restoring factory setting operation succeeded.
Note:
- Using the lock’s Reset button will restore factory settings and erase all lock data.
- The “Disconnect and wipe data” feature in the Gosund App has the same function as the Reset button.
Step 3. Check after installation
- Step 1: Enter the default user code 123456 and use the unlock key to check the user code unlocking function.
- Step 2: Check the auto-lock function. Wait for 10 seconds. The lock bolt will automatically extend and the door lock will be in a closed state.
- Step 3: Check the Manual Lock. Turn the Manual Lock to smoothly unlock and\ lock the door.
- Step 4: Check the Unlock/Lock Button. Press the Unlock/Lock Button, and the door can be unlocked and locked normally.
- Step 5: Check the emergency key. Use the emergency key, and the door can be unlocked and locked normally.

APP Download
Connect your phone to the Wi-Fi router (supports 2.4G Wi-Fi only), scan the QR code below to download and install the app, then sign up for an account.
Note: Ensure your phone runs iOS 11+ or Android 6.0+ for a smooth connection. If you have any questions, please consult our customer service.
Enter Network Configuration
When powered on, the lock automatically enters network configuration mode. The first user to open the Gosund App and discover the device will be assigned as the lock’s administrator.
Notes:
- Using a gateway: Once connected, the lock can be remotely controlled and monitored. Ensure the gateway is correctly set up and online.
- Without a gateway: Operate the lock within Bluetooth range (maximum 15m in open space) using the app.
- Re-entering configuration mode: Reset the lock to factory settings or use the “Disconnect” feature in the Gosund App to unbind the device.
- “Disconnect” feature: Unbinding the device deletes all “Automated” and “Tap to Run” scenes, but passwords and fingerprint data remain intact
Add device
- Enter the Gosund app homepage, click the “+” button in the upper right corner, and select “Add Device.”
- Follow the method given in Enter Network Configuration to put the door lock into network configuration mode, wait for the app to discover the device, and click “Add”
How to unlock via App
After the network configuration is completed, enter the KD30 control page of the Gosund APP and unlock it by horizontally dragging the on/off button
How to add a fingerprint via the app
After the network configuration is completed, enter the fingerprint – adding page of KD30 in the Gosund APP. Then, add fingerprints according to the operation instructions provided by the Gosund APP.Correct usage of fingerprints

- A: Wait for 1 minute for the lock to reset itself. Avoid entering incorrect passwords or fingerprints repeatedly to prevent triggering the intrusion alert.
