Overview

The Samwa KH-965 Pointer Universal Multimeter is an analog meter designed to measure DC voltage, AC voltage, resistance, and current for electrical maintenance. It features a stable design, an adjustable bracket for bench use, and a rotary selector with clear, color-coded functions.

Quick Guide

  1. For resistance measurement, turn the selector dial to the resistance scale (Ω).
  2. Insert the black test lead into the COM (common) port and the red test lead into the V/Ω port.
  3. Connect probes: ensure the black lead is on the COM head and the red lead is on the positive (+) head.
  4. Place the two measuring rods across the resistor (parallel measurement).
  5. Select a multiplier range (×1, ×10, etc.) so the needle deflects to about 1/2 of full scale for best accuracy.
  6. Read the value directly from the corresponding ohm scale curve.
  7. (Optional) Re-measure to confirm consistency.

Features

  1. Samwa KH-965 multimeter is used to measure DC power, unidirectional voltage, and AC voltage; resistance measurement is an indispensable test equipment for unqualified people. Any electrical maintenance technician.
  2. The multimeter has four main functions: measuring resistance, measuring DC voltage, measuring AC voltage, and measuring current.
  3. Samwa KH-965 multimeter: Donghao long service life, stable, knob can be flexibly adjusted to the scale, making your electronic equipment maintenance process simple and effective.
  4. When measuring AC voltage, we switch the scale to the AC scale so that the AC scale is one step larger than the voltage to be measured.
    • For example, if you are measuring AC220V voltage, we will keep the AC 250V scale. If we keep it on the ladder where the voltage is to be measured, the clock indicator is dramatic, and if the bar is too large, the indicator is inaccurate.

Parameters

  • Name KH-965 Multimeter
  • Material: ABS.
  • Size: 16.5 * 14 * 5 cm
  • Color: Gray

Packing list

  1. 1x multimeter
  2. 1x instruction
  3. 2x test lead

How do I use the Samwa KH-965 multimeter

  1. Step 1: Keep the watch on the Ω resistance scale. Step 2: Insert the black bar into the COM port, and the red bar into the V/Ω port. Step 3: Insert the black measuring rod into the COM head and the red measuring rod into the head (+)
  2. Step 4: Place the two measuring rods of the multimeter on the two resistors (parallel measurements). Choose a range so that when measuring the resistance to be measured, the deviation OF the pointer is about 1/2 of the ruler.
  3. Step 5: Measure resistance. You can measure twice to get the most accurate result.
  4. Step 6: Read the results on the display. * When we measure unidirectional voltage (DC), never put the meter on the wrong current scale or resistance scale; the meter will immediately fail.

How to use the KH-965 multimeter

  • Step 1: Keep the watch on the resistance scale.
  • Step 2: Plug the black rod into the COM universal port, and the red rod into the V / port.
  • Step 3: Insert the black measuring rod into the COM head and the red measuring rod into the V (+) head.
  • Step 4: Place the two measuring rods of the multimeter on two resistors (parallel measurement ). Select a range so that the deviation of the pointer is about 1 / 2 of the range when measuring the resistance to be measured.
  • Step 5: Measure the resistance twice to get the most accurate result.
  • Step 6: Read the results on the display.
    • When we measure a one-way voltage (DC), never set the meter to an incorrect current or resistance scale; if the wrong meter will fail immediately. *Gaqqee-KH-965-Pointer-Multimeter-FIG-7Gaqqee-KH-965-Pointer-Multimeter-FIG-8 Gaqqee-KH-965-Pointer-Multimeter-FIG-9 Gaqqee-KH-965-Pointer-Multimeter-FIG-10

Troubleshooting

  • Needle deflects dramatically when measuring AC voltage: Confirm you selected an AC voltage range higher than the expected voltage. Selecting a range that is too low can cause dramatic pointer deflection or damage internal movements.
  • Incorrect readings on AC voltage: If the selected range is much higher than expected, the reading may be inaccurate—select a scale range higher than the expected voltage, but not excessively large.
  • Instrument failure or unsafe behavior on DC voltage: Do not set the multimeter to the current scale or the resistance scale while measuring unidirectional DC voltage. Improper scale settings under voltage load can cause immediate instrument failure.
