1. 3/8-16 x 1 Flanged Hex Head Screw – Qty: 8
2. 3/8 Screw Flat Washer – Qty: 8
3. 3/8-16 Nylon Locknut – Qty: 8

• Step 01 – Layout and Install Prep:
  • Attach Mounting Posts to Platform: Attach Mounting Posts to Rear Door Platform using (3ea) 3/8 Screws, Washers, and Nylon Locknuts. Follow recommended mounting styles for different accessories.
• Step 02A – Sprinter Platforms:
  • Widest Possible Install Width for Posts: Refer to FIG 2 for dimensions of the largest width between posts for the Driver and Passenger Side Rear Door Platforms.
• Step 02B – Transit Platforms:
  • Widest Possible Install Width for Posts: Consult FIG 3 for dimensions of the largest width between posts for the Driver and Passenger Side Rear Door Platforms.
• Step 02D – Mounting Posts:
  • Mounting Posts Dimensional Information: Review FIG 5 for relevant dimensional information regarding the length and width of the Mounting Posts themselves.

You are responsible for assembling and securing Flatline Van Co products to your vehicle, checking the mounting points and attachments prior to use, and regularly inspecting the products for wear and or damage. We always recommend you use a professional to install any aftermarket accessories to your vehicle. If you have no mechanical experience and are not thoroughly familiar with the installation procedures, you must have the product installed by a professional installer or other qualified persons. The responsibility is yours and must be taken seriously for everyone’s safety.

USING STEP

STEP | 01 LAYOUT AND INSTALL PREP

Choosing Mounting Location: The mounting location

will depend on the accessories used with your rear platform mounting posts and the layout you choose. This guide provides useful dimensional information and recommends installation orientations based on different use cases. FIG 1 shows examples of both the upright and horizontal mounting styles, with the posts positioned at their widest possible locations. Note that the upright and horizontal configurations allow have different available slots for mounting hardware.

Attach Mounting Posts to Platform: Attach Mounting Posts to Rear Door Platform using (3ea) 3/8” Screws, Washers and Nylon Locknuts.

NOTE – We recommend using the horizontal mounting style when mounting up bike trays (like 1up) for maximum stability. The mounting posts can also be arranged on the same vertical plane to be used  for snowboard/ski racks. This can provide storage for a lot of boards/skis!
