Usage Instructions

Download Procedure

An Internet connection is required to download the updates. Use Microsoft Edge for the following steps:

1. Access the provided URLs for each update.
2. Click the “Download” button on the respective update page.
3. Right-click on the file name and select “Save link as” from the menu.
4. In the “Save As” screen, choose your desired download destination and click “Save”.
5. Repeat for all updates.

For Security Intelligence Updates (mpam-fe.exe):

1. Access the URL https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/wdsi/defenderupdates with Microsoft Edge.
2. Locate the section titled “Manually download the update”.
3. Find the line “Microsoft Defender Antivirus for Windows 11, Windows 10, Windows 8.1, and Windows Server”.
4. Click on “[64bit]” in that line to download the file.

Install Procedure

1. Preparation before Applying the Security Updates

1. Copy all downloaded update files to a working folder on your Print Server.
2. Turn off the Print Server and disconnect the network cable.
3. Turn the Print Server back on.
4. If the Print Service application is running, terminate it. (Navigate to Windows Start menu > FUJIFILM Business Innovation > StopSystem). Terminate any other running applications.
5. Double-click on D:optPrtSrvutilityADMINtoolStartWindowsUpdate.bat.
6. Press the Return key to continue.

2. Applying the Security Updates

Apply the Update Programs in the order described in the “Update Programs” section above.

1. Double-click on the security update file. Ensure all running applications (e.g., Print Service) are closed before proceeding.
2. In the Windows Update Standalone Installer, click “Yes”.
3. If prompted with “Download and Install Updates” or license terms, click “[I Accept]” to proceed.
4. The installation will begin automatically.
5. Once the installation is finished, click “Close” to complete the setup.

After all updates have been applied, reboot the computer.

3. Confirming the Security Updates

To verify successful installation:

1. Select Start Menu > Settings > Control Panel > Programs and Features.
2. In the left pane, click “View installed updates”.
3. Confirm that all applied security updates are displayed in the list.

4. Completion

1. Shut down the Print Server.
2. Reconnect the network cable.
3. Turn the Print Server back on.

Vulnerability
Microsoft Corporation has announced vulnerabilities in Windows®. There are measures to fix these vulnerabilities which must also be implemented for our products – GP Controller D02 for ApeosPro C810 Series. Please follow the below procedure to fix the vulnerabilities. The following procedure is intended that a System Administrator of the Print Server can fix the vulnerabilities. The steps described below must be performed on the Print Server.
Updates below can be applied for Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024.

Update Programs
An Internet connection is required before proceeding. Access the following URL and download the updates.

Download Procedure
(1) Access above URLs with Microsoft Edge. (2) Click Download.

(3) Right-click on the file name, select Save link as from the menu.
(4) In the Save As screen, select the download destination for the updates, then click Save. (5) Updates will be saved to the location specified in Step (4). If there are more than one updates, perform the above step. In terms of Security intelligence updates, (1) Access above URL with Microsoft Edge. (2) Find a section “Manually download the update” (3) Move to the line “Microsoft Defender Antivirus for Windows 11, Windows 10, Windows 8.1, and Windows
Server” (4) Click [64bit] in that line to download the file.

Install Procedure
1. Preparation before Applying the Security Updates
1. Copy the update files to your working folder on the Print Server. 2. Turn the power to the Print Server off and disconnect the network cable.
· Metal parts are exposed on the back of the Print Server’s main body. · When disconnecting the network cable be careful to avoid being injured by these parts. · Alternatively, you can disconnect the network cable on the hub side.
3. Turn the Print Server back on. 4. If the Print Service application is running, then terminate it. (Windows Start menu > FUJIFILM
Bussiness Innovation > StopSystem) Terminate any other running applications. 5. Double-click on “D:optPrtSrvutilityADMINtoolStartWindowsUpdate.bat”. 6. Press return key to continue.
2. Applying the Security Updates.
Apply Update Programs in the order of described in above Update Programs section with next steps. Once all updates have been applied, reboot the computer

Before applying the security update close all the running applications (e.g., Print Service). 2. In the Windows Update Standalone Installer, click Yes.
If appears Download and Install Updates of license terms, click [I Accept] to proceed.
3. The Installation will now begin.
4. When the installation is finished, click Close to complete the setup.

3. Confirming the Security Updates.
By following the procedure described below you can confirm if the update programs have been successfully applied. 1. Select Start Menu > Settings > Control Panel > Programs and Features. 2. In the left pane click View installed updates. 3. Confirm that the security updates that you applied are displayed in the list.
4. Completion
1. Shut down the Print Server and reconnect the network cable. 2. Turn the Print Server back on.
