1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your OBO HANDS Wired 4.3" Video Doorbell Intercom Indoor Monitor. This device is designed to enhance home security and communication by providing visual and audio interaction with visitors at your door. Please read this manual thoroughly before use to ensure proper functionality and safety.

Note: This product is an indoor monitor ONLY and does not include an outdoor unit. It is compatible with 5-wire or 4-wire connection type outdoor units.

4. Configuration et installation

4.1 Cabling Standards

The indoor monitor uses a 5-wire or 4-wire connection type. The maximum transmission distance between the indoor monitor and the outdoor unit is approximately 100 meters. Select the appropriate cable diameter based on the distance:

4.2 Schéma de câblage

The system requires a 4-core cable to connect the outdoor unit and the indoor monitor. If connecting a second indoor monitor, a 5-core cable is used between the indoor monitors. Ensure correct polarity and connections as shown in the diagram below.

Important: This indoor monitor is only compatible with 5-wire or 4-wire connection type outdoor units. If you have an existing outdoor unit, please verify its compatibility before installation.

4.3 Montage mural

Use the provided mounting bracket and screws to securely attach the indoor monitor to a wall. Ensure the location allows for easy access to controls and clear visibility of the screen.

5.1 Dual-way Intercom and Monitoring

• Recevoir un appel : When a visitor rings the doorbell, the indoor monitor will activate, display the image from the outdoor unit, and sound the selected ringtone. Press the "Answer" button (Intercom Button) to begin two-way audio communication.
• Terminer un appel : Press the "Answer" button again to end the conversation. If no action is taken, the monitor will automatically turn off after 60 seconds.
• Surveillance: À view the outdoor area without a visitor call, press the "Monitor" button. The screen will display the outdoor view, and you can hear sounds from outside. The monitor will turn off automatically after 90 seconds of monitoring.

5.2 Ringtones and Volume Adjustment

• The monitor offers 25 chord ringtones. You can select your preferred ringtone.
• Both the ringtone and intercom volume can be adjusted to three levels using the dedicated adjustment dials (refer to Figure 9).

5.3 Mode Ne pas déranger

To avoid disturbance, especially during rest periods, you can activate the "Do Not Disturb" mode. This will silence the ringtone. Refer to Figure 9 for the "Ring Cancel" button.

5.4 One-Key Unlocking

If an electrical lock (12V) is connected to the system, you can unlock the door directly from the indoor monitor by pressing the "Unlock" button. This provides convenient access control for your home.

6. Conseils d'utilisation

• Ensure all wiring connections are secure and correctly matched to avoid signal loss or malfunction.
• Regularly test the intercom and unlock functions to ensure they are working properly.
• Adjust the screen brightness and color to your preference using the side adjustment dials for optimal viewing.
• If experiencing issues with the outdoor unit, verify its compatibility and wiring with the indoor monitor.

7. Dépannage

If you encounter any issues with your indoor monitor, please refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

• Pas d'alimentation : Check if the power adapter is correctly plugged into a working outlet and securely connected to the monitor. Verify the power supply voltage correspond aux spécifications du produit.
• No Image/Sound from Outdoor Unit:
  • Ensure all wiring between the indoor monitor and outdoor unit is correctly connected and not damaged.
  • Confirm the outdoor unit is powered on and functioning.
  • Verify the outdoor unit is compatible with a 4-wire or 5-wire system.
• Interphone hors service : Check the wiring connections for the audio signal. Ensure the volume is not set to mute or too low.

  • Verify the electric lock is correctly wired to the system and receiving power.
  • Ensure the electric lock is a 12V type compatible with the system.
  • Check the wiring for the unlock signal.
• Ringtone Issues: If the ringtone is not sounding, check if "Do Not Disturb" mode is active. Adjust the ringtone volume.

8. Entretien

• Nettoyage: Utilisez un chiffon doux et sec pour nettoyer l'écran du moniteur et casing. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the surface.
• Environnement: Keep the monitor in a dry environment, away from direct sunlight, high temperatures, and excessive humidity.
• Inspection des câbles : Periodically inspect all wiring for any signs of wear or damage.

9. Garantie et assistance

This product comes with a ONE YEAR warranty from the date of purchase. The warranty covers manufacturing defects under normal use. Damage caused by improper installation, misuse, accidents, or unauthorized modifications is not covered.
