Unwrap the model carefully from the packaging.
Before use, let the model run forward and backward without load for about 30 minutes each to optimize circuit and tractive power.

The model should run on a minimum radius of R1 of the FLEISCHMANN track system (R1 = 192 mm).
Clean the tracks before running the model for smooth operation.

For digital mode, open the body, remove the jumper from the interface, and plug the decoder into the interface.

Maintenance:

Service the model regularly after approximately 30 hours of operation.
Clean wheel contacts with a small brush to remove dirt.

Lubricate the designated spots with tiny oil drops using Fleischmann oiler (item no. 6599).
For motor changing, carefully remove the body, unclip the spring clips, and reassemble in reverse order.

When changing traction tires, avoid twisting them during installation.

INTRODUCTION

Please store the model‘s packaging carefully. It offers the best protection when storing the model. A model that has been upgraded with the enclosed accessories will only fit back into the original packaging to a limited extent, as the packaging must be very tight to secure it during transportation. It is advisable to cut out the original packaging in certain places with a sharp knife. Smaller parts of the model, such as buffers, are designed as upgraded plug-in parts for the sake of attention to detail and are therefore not fully attached to the main body. In the event of loss through your own fault, please order such a part again. (In this case, you can reorder these parts as spare parts, a complaint cannot be made).

Please retain these instructions for further reference!

Safety instructions: This product may only be used in closed rooms. Do not expose the model to direct sunlight, severe temperature fluctuations or high air humidity.

Starting operation

Unwrap model: Take out the model cautiously with foil.

Operating instructions: Before use is advisable to let the model go around about 30 minutes forwards an 30 minutes backwards without load, to obtain an optimal circuit and best tractive power. The smallest radius this model should run is R1 of the FLEISCHMANN track system (R1 = 192 mm).
Your model will run smoothly on clean tracks only. For this purpose, we recommend using item no. 6595, FLEISCHMANN track cleaning rubber.

Running in digital mode: First open the body (fig. 5). Open the body by prising it open wide above the wheels. Remove the jumper from the interface (fig. 6). Finally, put the plug of the decoder into the interface.

Note: The headlight switching is done by the DCC functional decoder as well for analog running as for digital running. The functional decoder is located in the driving trailer.

Note: This model has been designed without an overhead catenary function.

Maintenance

To enjoy your model for a long time, it is necessary to service it regularly (i.e. after it has been in operation for approximately 30 hours).

Cleaning of wheel contacts: Wheel contacts easily get dirty on tracks that are not entirely clean. Use a small brush to remove dirt from spots marked in fig. 8.
Lubrication: Apply tiny oil drops to spots marked in fig. 7. We recommend using item no. 6599, Fleischmann oiler.

Motor Changing: First, remove the body (fig. 5). Unclip the spring clips, carefully using a screwdriver to bend the spring clips outwards (fig. 10). Reassemble in inverse sequence.
Change of traction tyre: Remove the traction tyre using a pin or a fine screwdriver (fig. 9). When pressing on the new traction tyre , please avoid twisting it.

Pay attention when mounting the motor that the hole is located as indicated, see above.
