V2 Trailer Flasher
Overview
The Z-Flash Trailer Flasher is a plug-and-play module that flashes supported OEM trailer lights with the press of a button. It ships pre-programmed with 10 light patterns and includes status indications, adjustable flashing speed, priority management, and power-saving behavior.

Quick Setup & Use
- Choose a mounting location on the trailer and bolt the unit in place, ensuring it does not affect any trailer function.
- Connect the trailer’s existing 7-way (male) plug to the Z-Flash Trailer module’s input (female) plug.
- Secure the module to the trailer using screws/bolts or similar.
- Connect the Z-Flash Trailer module’s (male) output connector to the truck’s 7-way OEM plug.
- Power on and turn on flashing using the included remote or the button on the unit.
- To adjust flashing speed, activate the unit and press on the remote: Pattern Up → Pattern Down → Pattern Up → Pattern Down. Then press Pattern Up to increase frequency or Pattern Down to decrease frequency. Exit Setup Mode by quickly pressing the Activate/Deactivate button again.
Note: It is suggested to mount the unit near the front tongue so the output side reaches the truck without issue.

This warranty protects the product(s) specified to be free from defects in material and workmanship for 1 (one) year. During the warranty period we will, at our sole discretion, repair or replace the product(s). This limited warranty does not cover travel expense or labor charges for the removal and reinstallation of the product, or any other charges alike. We are not responsible for incidental damages, including but not limited to: loss of time, loss of work, inconvenience, loss and/or damage to personal property, shipping expenses. We are in no way responsible for any loss or any indirect or consequential damages resulting from any such defect in material and/or workmanship whether it’s due to negligence, incorrect installation, or manufacturer mistake. It is the sole responsibility of the party initiating a warranty claim to pay shipping charges associated with returning a product.

MODULE INSTALLATION
Instruction steps:

- Secure to trailer using screws/bolts or similar. Connect the Z-Flash Trailer module’s (male) output connector to the truck’s 7-way OEM plug.
- The Z-Flash Trailer Flasher can turn on using the included remote or the button on the unit itself.
Note: It’s suggested to mount the unit near the front tongue, where the output side will reach the truck without issue.

To Adjust Speed:
Activate the unit and press the following sequence on the remote control:
PATTERN UP → PATTERN DOWN → PATTERN UP → PATTERN DOWN
Flashing Speed:
- LED flashes red quickly.
- Increase frequency: Press Pattern Up.
- Decrease frequency: Press Pattern Down.
- To exit Setup Mode, quickly press the Activate/Deactivate button again.
Priority Management Feature:
*Built in safety and can not be overridden
Priorities: Turn Signals, Brake, Reverse, Running (DRL)
- When an OEM function (Brake / Reverse / Running DRL) is active, its respective light will remain solid (not flashing) and follow the OEM behavior. Other lights will continue flashing.
- When the OEM turn signal is active, the turn signal will follow the OEM flashing pattern, and all other lights will stop flashing.
Single Output Overload Feature:
- If a single output draws approximately 30A or more, the unit will:
- Stop flashing the affected output.
- Attempt to resume flashing the same output two times.
- Permanently disable the output if the overload persists.
Power Saving Mode:
- After one minute of inactivity (unit turned off, built-in button not pressed for one minute, and remote control button not pressed for one minute), the unit will enter power-saving mode, and the button LED will turn off.
- As soon as the built-in button or remote control button is pressed, the unit will return to normal power mode.

Troubleshooting
- No flashing / LED is off: The unit may be in power saving mode. After one minute of inactivity (unit turned off, and built-in button and remote not pressed for one minute), the button LED turns off. Press the built-in button or a remote control button to return to normal power mode.
- Status LED shows overload behavior: If at least one output is overloaded (draining too much current), the unit will blink purple once (1 sec once). If outputs are consuming 30A or more (current limit reached), it will blink purple 3 times (1 sec 3 times). For a single-output overload (approximately 30A or more), the affected output stops flashing, attempts to resume two times, and permanently disables that output if overload persists.
- Lights not flashing as expected when OEM functions are active: The module uses priority management. When an OEM Brake/Reverse/Running (DRL) function is active, its corresponding light remains solid (not flashing) and follows OEM behavior; other lights keep flashing. When the OEM turn signal is active, the turn signal follows the OEM flashing pattern and other lights stop flashing.
- Setup mode confusion (frequency adjustments): Setup mode is indicated by a red LED flashing according to the selected frequency. Exit Setup Mode by quickly pressing the Activate/Deactivate button again.
