WORD UP Guessing Game
This word guessing game puts your brain to the test. Compete with friends and family and be the first to discover your 5-letter word, using the included counters to narrow down each letter!

50 word cards
50 Clue Tiles – 30 orange and 20 green
Set up for 2 players
It’s word-guessing time!
Start by shuffling the word cards and placing them face down. Each player must then take a card and look at it without the other player seeing it. The aim of the game is to guess the word on the opposition’s card first
How to Play
Taking turns, the players must guess 5-letter words. The first player makes a guess by writing their S-letter word on their whiteboard. The second player must check it against the word shown on the card they selected. Place a green tile on the letters that are correct and in the correct place. Place an orange tile on any letters that are correct but in the wrong place. You may not hint at any other clues, like double letters or themes. It may be helpful to mark off letters you know are incorrect on the bottom of your whiteboard.

Play until both players have guessed correctly or run out of guesses. You may gliess upitol5 fimes,
Players score points by guessing the word in the fewest guesses. For example, if the word is guessed correctly first try 5 points are awarded, 2 attempits are 4 points, 3 attempts are 3 points, etc.
The winner is the player with the most points after 5 rounds.
Want to play more than two players?
Start by shuffling the word cards and placing them face down. Player one should place the headband on their head with the card attachment facing the front. Another player must then take a card and place it in the headband with the word facing outward. Be careful not to show the player wearing the headband! Player one must sit in a way so that other players can see the card. The aim of the game is to guess the word on your headband in the fewest number of guesses. The other players will provide feedback
When the word is guessed, or 5 rounds are up swap the player wearing the headband and a new player tries to beat the previous score!

We recommend allocating a minute per 5-letter word guess if there is a large group for a fast-paced game!

Each player gets 3 clues that they can use at any point in the game.
Clue 1 – You can ask one yes or no question that the opposition must answer correctly with a simple yes or no reply.
Clue 2 – The opposition must remove 3 letters that do not appear in your selected word
Clue 3 – The opposition must inform you of the location of a correct letter and place the related green tile on your board
