Warm Note

  • Fora new hard drive, please go to “Disk Management” to initialise it.
  • For Mac OS, please set the hard drive format to “exFat”
  • For 3.5″ IDE, please plug a 4-pin power cable.

Hard Disk Initialization

  • Right-click “Computer”, and choose “Manage” → “Disk Management”
  • Find your unallocated disk, right-click “Unallocated” , and choose “Initialize Disk”
  • For HDD capacity less than 2TB, choose MBR partition; for HDD capacity over 2TB, choose GPT partition.
  • Please choose “New Simple Volume Wizard” to finish hard disk initialization.

How to Operate

  1. Insert 2 hard drives into the respective IDE/SATA port.FIDECO-PL03 -HDD-SSD0-Docking-FIG (5)
  2. Connect the USB cable and power adapter (Note: for 3.5″DE, it needs connecting 4-pin power cable).FIDECO-PL03 -HDD-SSD0-Docking-FIG (6)
  3. Turn on the device by pressing the power switch.

Jumper Setting

Generally, the hard drive doesn’t need to be set jumper. If 2.5″ and 3.5″ IDE hard drives are connected simultaneously, you need to set jumper for 3.5″ IDE hard drive and set it to slave. For jumper setting, please operate according to the lable on your hard drive. We take Seagate hard drive as an example.
