Product Usage Instructions

WC20 A&V “55” Manual Firmware Update Instructions

  • Please read through the instructions before downloading the file.
  • This update can only be done on a windowsbased computer or a MAC.
  • If you currently have a password on your camera. You’ll need to DEFAULT the camera. Without doing so, it can potentially lock you out of the camera.
  • You can do this on the camera. With the camera in the OFF position, Remove the SD card, Turn the camera ON,
  • Hit MENU(M), Arrow right to Default, select OK, arrow to YES, Select OK. You can then turn the camera OFF.

STEP 1

  • Insert the SD card into the computer!
  • Format your SD card (Making sure it’s completely empty)

STEP 2
Don’t change the file name and only download the File once! If you download the file more than once and there’s a number beside it (1),(2),etc. All will cause the update to be unsuccessful. (Using a Windows Computer)

  • Select “Download Firmware” under WC20.
  • You’ll then need to open your downloads folderFeraDyne-WC20-55-Inch-Manual-Firmware-Update-FIG- (1) . You should see the ZIP file. Le# click & hold, drag, and drop the file onto your main desktop.
  • Once the ZIP file is on your desktop.FeraDyne-WC20-55-Inch-Manual-Firmware-Update-FIG- (2) Open the ZIP file Then Le# click & hold, drag, and drop the file onto your desktop.
  • Once on your desktop. You can then pull up your FILE ExplorerFeraDyne-WC20-55-Inch-Manual-Firmware-Update-FIG- (3)
  • Once opened, on the leZ side scroll to the bo[om and click on the SDHC file FeraDyne-WC20-55-Inch-Manual-Firmware-Update-FIG- (4)or whichever your SD card is reading as.
  • You’ll then Le# click & hold, drag, and drop the file from the desktop onto the SD card.Please make sure this file is the only thing on the SD card
  • You can remove the SD card from your computer (Using a MAC/Apple Computer)
  • Select “Download Firmware” under WC20.
  • You’ll Double click on the ZIP file to open it. It’ll put the file into an unzipped folder on your Desktop.
  • You’ll need to open this folder and remove the file (It CANNOT BE IN A FOLDER ON THE SD CARD)
  • You can Left click & hold, drag, and drop the file into your Removeable Disk OR SD card icon. (Whichever it reads as)

  • You can remove the SD card from your computer

(Using a MAC/Apple Computer)

  • Select “Download Firmware” under WC20.
  • You’ll Double click on the ZIP file to open it. It’ll put the file into an unzipped folder on your Desktop.
  • You’ll need to open this folder and remove the file (It CANNOT BE IN A FOLDER ON THE SD CARD) OR SD card icon. (Whichever it You can Left click & hold, drag, and drop the file into your Removeable DiskFeraDyne-WC20-55-Inch-Manual-Firmware-Update-FIG- (6) reads as) CT660Nx055J7Z
  • Please make sure this file is the only thing on the SD cardFeraDyne-WC20-55-Inch-Manual-Firmware-Update-FIG- (7)
  • You can remove the SD card from your computer

STEP 3

  • With camera in the OFF position, Insert the SD card and turn the camera ON.
  • Once the camera screen turns ON. It’ll ask YES or NO for updating, you’ll arrow to YES and press OK. Camera will show in percentage as the firmware is updating.
  • You must wait for the camera to say either “success” or “failed”. Once you see either, hit the MENU button, arrow to the LEFT once to SOFTWARE version and check that the current firmware reads CT660Nx055.
  • IF the firmware is up to date, you can turn the camera OFF and proceed with the next steps below.
  • Put the camera into the ON position and wait for it to show “connection success”.
  • Once you receive “connection success” Press the left arrow key 1 time. (It’ll pop up a few different things during this cycle)
  • You should see “Upload Thumbnail”, when that goes away, check your app for the manual photo.
  • If the manual photo was received on the app, you can let the camera count down into WORKMODE and let it trigger photos!

SD CARD SPECIFICATIONS- Our cameras function with a Standard SD card, Class 10, between 8-32 GB.

  • We ONLY recommend Sony, ONN, or Covert SD cards. *We don’t recommend using San Disk brand, as they don’t meet the requirements for the cameras.
  • Please, don’t use any cards that say Ultra/Ultra Plus, High Performance,
  • Platinum, Extreme, Tough, HD/High definition, Plus, Elite, Pro, Image Mate, Edge, MICRO adapter, etc. These types of SD cards don’t work well with our devices.

Q: Can I use an SD card for the camera?
A: No, we recommend using Standard SD cards, Class 10, between 8-32 GB from Sony, ONN, or Covert. Avoid San Disk and other mentioned labels as they may not work well with our devices.
