Note: According to the ANSI/PLATO FL1 standard, the above specifications are from the results produced by Fenix through its laboratory testing using one Fenix ARB-L18-1600 battery under the temperature of 21±3°C and humidity of 50% – 80%. The true performance of this product may vary according to different working environments and the actual battery used.
*The Turbo output is measured in total of runtime including output at reduced levels due to temperature or protection mechanism in the design.

Lock/Unlock
Lock: With the lamp turned off, press and hold the switch for 3 seconds, the lamp will blink four times in Eco output of White light and then go out to indicate the locked status.
Unlock: With the light locked, press and hold the switch for 3 seconds, the lamp will blink four times and then activate in Eco output of White light to indicate that the lamp is unlocked.
Note: In locked status, clicking the switch will activate four blinks in Eco output of White light before turning off to indicate the locked status.

Intelligent Memory Circuit
The headlamp automatically memorizes the previously used output level excluding Red light mode. When turned on again, the previously used output level will be recalled.
*When turned on in White light mode, the headlamp will activate in High if it was previously switched off in Turbo.

Non-rechargeable Battery (Li-ion) CR123A 3.0 V Caution !

*18350 Li-ion batteries are powerful cells designed for commercial applications and must be treated with caution and handled with care. Using low-quality batteries or mishandling
batteries (such as short-circuiting or overheating) could lead to combustion and jeopardize
the safety of users and property. Any adverse effects resulting from the use of low-quality batteries are not covered by any Fenix warranty or liability. Using quality batteries with circuit protection will reduce the potential for combustion or explosion.
*CR123A batteries should be reserved for emergency use only. Do not charge while using
CR123A batteries! Using CR123A batteries will reduce available output levels and shorten
runtime. For optimal performance, it is recommended to use a Fenix ARB-L18-1600 battery.

BATTERY REPLACEMENT

Unscrew the battery cover counterclockwise and insert the battery inaccordance with the polarity marks, then screw the battery cover back on.

CHARGING

  1. Open the anti-dust plug and connect the USB Type-C end of the charging cable to the charging port of the headlamp.
  2. The indicator will display red while charging and will turn green when fully charged.
  3. Once charging is completed, be sure to unplug the charging cable and close the anti-dust plug.
  4. With the lamp turned off, the normal charging time of the included Fenix ARB-L18-1600 battery is approximately 2.5 hours from depleted to fully charged with a 5 V/1 A or above charging adapter.
    Note:
    • The headlamp can be operated while charging.
    • When the voltage level is lower than 3.3 V, only the Low output of each mode and the Flash output can be activated*.
    • Recharge a stored headlamp every four months to maintain the optimum performance of the battery.
*This only works with a Fenix ARB-L18-1600 battery.
  5. Power specifications:
    ◎Charging voltage: 5 V
    ◎Charging power: 5 W
◎This headlamp does not support fast charging.
◎Only use a certified USB charging adapter that complies with the government safety standards of the country or region where this product is sold.

BATTERY LEVEL INDICATION

With the lamp turned off, single click the switch to check the current battery level and the battery level indicator will last for 3 seconds.
Green light on: saturated 100% – 80%
Green light flashes: sufficient 80% – 50%
Red light on: poor 50% – 20%
Red light flashes: critical 20% – 0%
*This only works with a Fenix ARB-L18-1600 battery.

INTELLIGENT OVERHEAT PROTECTION

The headlamp will accumulate a lot of heat when used at high output levels for extended periods. When the headlamp reaches a temperature of 55°C/131°F or above, it will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature. When the temperature drops below 55°C/131°F, the headlamp will gradually recall the preset output level.

LOW-VOLTAGE WARNING

When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the headlamp is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until the lowest output is reached. When this happens in the lowest output, the battery level indicator blinks red to remind users to recharge or replace the battery in a timely manner.
*This only works with a Fenix ARB-L18-1600 battery.

HEADBAND ASSEMBLY

Notice: The headband is factory assembled and ready to use right out of the package.
Adjust the headband by sliding the buckle to the required length.

USAGE AND MAINTENANCE

◎Disassembling the sealed head can cause damage to the headlamp and will void the warranty.
◎Fenix recommends using an excellent quality battery.
◎If the headlamp will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery, or the lamp could be damaged by electrolyte leakage.
◎Take out the battery to prevent accidental activation during storage or transportation.
◎Long-term use can result in O-ring wear. To maintain a proper water seal, replace the O-ring with an approved spare.
◎Periodic cleaning of the battery contacts improves the headlamp’s performance as dirty contacts may cause the headlamp to flicker, shine intermittently or even fail to illuminate for the following reasons:
A: Poor battery level.
Solution: Recharge or replace the battery.
B: The contact or contact point of the battery or headlamp is dirty.
Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.
If the above methods don’t work, please contact the distributor.
