TECHNICAL PARAMETERS
Note: According to the ANSI/PLATO FLI standard, the above specifications are from the results produced by Fenix through its laboratory testing using one Fenix ARB-LP1900 batten temperature of 21±30C and humidity of 50% % – 80%. The true performance of this product may vary according to different working environments and the actual battery used. ‘The Turbo output is measured in total of runtime including output at reduced levels due to tempera re or protection mechanism in the design.
Gesture-sensing lamp on/off
- With the lamp turned on and the gesture-sensing function enabled, wave your hand within the sensing range in front of the lamp to turn off the lamp temporarily, and wave your hand again to turn on the lamp and recall the last selected output. With the lamp turned on and the gesture-sensing function disabled, it will not respond to any motion operation.
- *When the lamp is turned on and the gesture-sensing function is enabled, press and hold the electronic switch for 0.5 seconds to turn off the lamp. After this action, it will not respond to any motion operation.
overview
Note:
- The sensing range is within about 3.94in/10cm in front of the lamp, and endina on the material and color of the sensing object, may vary slightlv de the ambient light, e brightness of the selected output, and the waving speed.
- The gesture-sensing function is infrared sensing. If any other objects besides your hand pass in front of the lamp within the sensing range, the lamp will also be turned on or off.
- The gesture-sensing function can only turn the light on and off within the current lighting mode and can neither change the mode nor the output.
- When the gesture-sensing function is enabled, waving a hand will only turn off the lamp temporarily. At Gis time, the lamp is in a standby state, and power will still be consumed as the lamp actively awaits commands. If the lamp will not be used for an extended period,od turn the rotary switch to “OFF” to save battery power.
Intelligent Memory Circuit
The lamp automatically memorizes the last selected output of each mode when users press and hold the electronic switch to turn on/off. When turned on again, the previously used output of the selected mode will be recalled.
BATTERY SPECIFICATIONS
- Do not mix batteries of different brands, sizes, capacities, or types. Doing so may cause damage to the lamp or to the batteries being used.
- Only use the recommended or usable batteries mentioned in this user manual.
- Using low-quality batteries or mishandled batteries (such as short-circuiting or overheating) could lead to combustion and jeopardize the safety of users and property. Any adverse effects resulting from the use of low-gua ity batteries are not covered by any Fenix warranty or liability. Using quality batteries with circuit protection will reduce the potential for combustion or explosion. It is recommended to use a Fenix ARB-LPI 900 battery.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
Open the back battery cap to insert the battery following the polarity marks, then close the back battery cap.
CHARGING
- Uncover the anti-dust cap and plug the USB Type-C side of the charging cable into the charging port of the lamp.
- When charging, the Indicators will flash from left to right to display the charging status. The four indicators will be constant-on after charging is completed.
- With the lamp turned off, the normal charging time of using a Fenix ARB-LPI 900 battery is about 3 hours from depleted to fully charged with a 5 V/ 1 A or above charging adapter.
Note:
- Only Low outputs can be operated while charging.
- Recharge a stored lamp every four months to maintain the optimum performance of the battery.
BATTERY LEVEL INDICATION
With the lamp turned off, single-click the electronic switch to check the battery status. Single click once again and the indicator(s) will go out, or without any operation tne indicatorqs) will last for 3 seconds. Each tme the liaht is turned on, the indicator(s) WI I show the current battery level and will last for 3 seconds.
- Four lights on: 100% – 80%
- Three lights on: 80%, 60%
- Two lights on: 600/0 –
- One light on: 40% – 20%
- One light flashes: 20% – 1%
Note: This feature only works with a Fenix ARB-LP1900 battery.
INTELLIGENT OVERHEAT PROTECTION
- The lamp will accumulate a lot of heat when used at high out ut levels for extended periods.
- When the lamp reaches a temperature of 5EOC/1310F or above, it will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature.
- When the temperature drops below 550C/1310F, the lamp will gradually recall the preset output level.
LOW-VOLTAGE WARNING
- When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the headlamp is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until Low output is reached.
- When this happens in Low output, one of the battery level indicators blinks to remind you to recharge or replace the battery.
HEADBAND ASSEMBLY
Notice: The headband is factory assembled and ready to use right out of the package. Adjust the headband by sliding the buckle to the required length.
USAGE AND MAINTENANCE
- Disassembling the sealed head can cause damage to the lamp and will void the warranty.
- Fenix recommends using an excellent quality battery.
- lf the lamp will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery, or the lamp could be damaged by electrolyte leakage.
- Take out the battery to prevent accidental activation during storage or transportation.
- Periodic cleaning of the battery contacts improves the lamp’s performance as dirty contacts may cause the lamp to flicker, shine intermittently or even fail to illuminate for the following reasons:
- A: Poor battery level. Solution: Recharge or replace the battery.
- B: The threads, PCB board contact or other contacts are dirty. Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.
If the above methods don’t work, please contact the distributor.
