Useful Information
- We recommend having a second person assist you. One person should hold the Synced Fancyleds while the other removes the protective plastic film from the adhesive.
- The Synced Fancyleds adhesive has three layers: the neon, the adhesive, and the plastic film.
- Any weight pulling on the Synced Fancyleds, such as the power adapter, will render the adhesive ineffective.
Orientation
- It may be helpful to refer to Step (9) to see the orientations that might be suitable for your setup.
- Deciding the position of the Synced Fancyleds relative to your TV is important for the following steps.
Preparing the Installation Area and Placing
- Ensure the LED strip is placed on a smooth, flat surface. It’s recommended to clean the area first to remove any dust. For better diffusion, consider placing the LEDs behind an object, such as underneath an entertainment unit, so they reflect off the wall.
- Peel the plastic film off the LED strip and press it firmly onto the chosen surface in the desired area. Make sure the LED strip is fully adhered and not hanging, with all adhesive making contact with the surface. Avoid letting the adhesive touch your fingers or the floor.
Cutting the Synced Fancyleds (Optional)
Using scissors, cut the excess Synced Fancyleds precisely along the orange lines to avoid damage, ensuring it fits perfectly in your desired position.
Connecting the Synced Fancyleds
- Plug the power cable into the Synced Fancyleds control box.
- Connect the Synced Fancyleds USB-C cable to the control box.
- Plug the power adapter into a wall outlet.
Download & install the Fancyleds App
Available on the App Store and Google Play, or scan the barcode below.
Connecting via the App
- Open the Fancyleds app.
- Ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4 GHz WiFi network and that location settings are activated.
- Press the blue “+” icon at the top right corner and select ‘Add Device. The Synced Fancyleds will appear automatically.
Deciding on the Position
Choose the best position for your Synced Fancyleds relative to your TV based on the options in the settings of the Synced Fancyleds. Common positions include above or below the TV. Example (1) below demonstrates the Synced Fancyleds placed above the TV, with the control box to the left and the LED strip directed to the right.
Frequently Asked Questions
My phone will not connect to the app?
- Confirm WiFi Connection: Ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4 GHz WiFi network. If unsure, confirm this with your modem manufacturer.
- Check App Permissions: Go to the settings on your phone and enable location, WiFi, and Bluetooth for the Synced Fancyleds app.
- Remove Device: Open the app and remove the Synced Fancyleds icon.
- Reset Power:
- Unplug the power cable from the control box.
- Wait for 5 seconds.
- Reinsert the power cable.
- Hold the white button on the Synced Fancyleds control box for 10 seconds to reset.
- Try a Different Device: If the connection issue persists, reattempt the above steps using a different mobile device.
My TV and Neon are not syncing?
- Check Fancy Sync Box: Ensure the Fancy Sync Box is syncing with your TV and HDMI device first. This step is essential for proper syncing.
- Reset Power: If the issue persists, disconnect and reconnect the power from the Fancy Sync Box.
The orientation is inverted?
- Adjust Orientation: Try the inverted side for the orientation settings. Adjust the Fancy Sync Box left and right orientation settings if necessary.
- Match Diagram Positioning: Ensure the Synced Fancyleds matches the positioning relative to the diagram in the settings. For example, if it is positioned above the TV, it should start from the left (control box side) and finish on the right (where the neon ends or you cut). It must match the diagram and be centered vertically with the TV.
