Control Panel

Inner Pot

The inner pot is constructed from Buffalo Clad, a multi-layer stainless steel material known for its durability, resistance to oxidation, and non-stick properties without chemical coatings. It is designed to withstand acids, alkali, and general wear.

Setup

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for future transport or storage.
  2. Clean: Before first use, wash the inner pot, measuring cup, rice paddle, and ladle with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. The inner lid is also removable for cleaning.
  3. Placement: Place the rice cooker on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
  4. Connect Power: Insert the power cord into the designated port at the back of the rice cooker, then plug it into a 120V electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions

The Buffalo SMART COOKER utilizes Induction Heating (IH) technology for fast and efficient cooking. It features a micro-intelligent controller that automatically measures rice quantity and controls temperature for optimal results.

Cooking Rice

  1. Measure Rice: Use the provided measuring cup to measure the desired amount of rice. For best results, rinse the rice thoroughly until the water runs clear.
  2. Add Water: Place the rinsed rice into the stainless steel inner pot. Add water according to the markings inside the pot or your preferred rice-to-water ratio (typically 1:1 for white rice).
  3. Place Pot: Ensure the exterior of the inner pot is dry, then place it securely inside the main unit.
  4. Close Lid: Close the lid firmly until it clicks into place.
  5. Select Function: Press the Menu button to cycle through the available cooking functions until "Rice" is selected.
  6. Start Cooking: Press the Start button. The cooker will begin the rice cooking cycle.
  7. Keep Warm: Once cooking is complete, the cooker will automatically switch to the "Warm" function.

  • Inner Pot: The Buffalo Clad inner pot is resistant to oxidation and non-stick. It can be hand washed with warm, soapy water. Avoid abrasive scrubbers to maintain its finish.
  • Inner Lid: The inner lid is removable for thorough cleaning. Press the release button/tab to detach it, wash with warm, soapy water, rinse, and dry completely before reattaching.
  • Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the cooker with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water.
  • Steam Vent: Ensure the steam vent is clear of any food debris to prevent blockages.
