Getting Started
- Open the battery compartment and remove the battery safety
strip. - Remove the clear protective decals from the display areas.
Set Temperature Unit and Clock Mode

1 Introduction
Congratulations on your purchase of the Extech 445702 Hygro-Thermometer Clock. This instrument simultaneously displays Time (12/24 hour clock), Temperature (, ), and Relative Humidity (%). The clock can be wall mounted or placed on a table-top using the built-in tilt stand. Features include MIN/ MAX displays and programmable alarm clock. 3 Operation
3.1 Getting Started
1. Open the battery compartment by sliding off the compartment cover in the direction of the arrow (rear of meter). Remove the battery safety strip. The display should switch on. If the display does not switch on, replace the battery. Secure the battery compartment cover.
2. Remove the clear protective decals from the display areas.
3.2 Set Temperature Unit and Clock Mode
Use the / slide switch (back) to set the temperature unit. With selected, the 12 hour clock mode is enabled. With selected, the 24 hour clock mode is enabled.
3.3 Setting the Clock Time
1. Long press the CLOCK button until the hour digits begin to flash. 2. Use the ADVANCE button to set the hour. 3. Press the CLOCK button again; the minutes digits will flash. 4. Use the ADVANCE button to set the minutes. 5. Press the CLOCK button to complete and exit.
3.4 Setting the Alarm
1. Press the RESET/AL button. The CLK ALARM icon will appear on the lowest display and the hour digits will flash.
2. Press the AL/ON OFF button (back). The alarm bell icon will appear on the top display. Press the AL/ON OFF button again to disable the alarm (the bell icon will switch off).
3. Use the ADVANCE button to select the alarm hour. 4. Press the RESET/AL button again; the minutes digits will flash. 5. Use the ADVANCE button to select the alarm minutes. 6. Press the RESET/AL button to exit. The CLK ALARM icon will switch OFF
(the bell icon will remain ON). 7. The buzzer will sound for 1 minute at the alarm time. 8. To silence the buzzer, press any button.
3.5 MAX-MIN Record and Recall
1. Press the MAX/MIN button. The highest readings recorded will display. 2. Press MAX/MIN again to show the lowest readings. 3. Press the RESET button (in the MAX-MIN mode) to clear the memory and
start recording again. 4. Press MAX/MIN again to return to normal operation.

4 Battery Replacement
Open the battery compartment by sliding the battery cover on the rear of the instrument downward as indicated by the arrow. Replace the 1.5 V `AAA’ battery and secure the cover.
Do not dispose of used batteries or rechargeable batteries in household waste.
