HOW TO CONNECT YOUR CABLE
So now that you have a brand new Etymotion Bluetooth Cable, you’re probably wondering how to install those fancy ER2, ER3, or ER4 earphones to it, so you can go wireless with Etymotic. The first thing you will want to do is check out the connectors on the Etymotion Bluetooth Cable. You will see they are pretty standard MMCX connectors (that will work with your other earphones, BTW), but you will also notice a plastic notch, or “key”, on the connectors. These are meant to fit into the indented notch on your Etymotic Earphones, in order to stop the connectors from rotating on the ear buds. This will help preserve the integrity of the MMCX connectors for years to come. All you have to do is line up the notch and press the connector into an earphone body until you hear that satisfying “click” that says you’re connected and ready to go.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Exists an awareness mode on these? If yes, how do you make it possible
I’m not sure exactly what you mean by awareness mode, but if it’s the same as an ambient mode—which lets you hear sounds around you and/or speak to someone without taking off the IEMs—then no. I was unable to locate any indication of this feature on mine. Additionally, you cannot make or receive calls with the digital assistant on your phone. - Is there a built-in microphone on the Emotion?
It does include a microphone; however, it can only be used to answer incoming calls. However, it does not function with Siri and Google Assistant in the conventional sense, despite what the description and package claim. - Is it functional when charging?
Yes, you may listen to music through the earpieces as it charges, but a long USB charging cord is definitely required - How do you link your Bluetooth device to your smartphone?
The on/off and Bluetooth pairing buttons are located in the center. Then press and hold the middle button until you hear that Bluetooth pairing has begun while keeping your phone’s Bluetooth scan settings visible. The phone’s pairing settings are then finished. - How little latency is there with this product?
I’ve never experienced any latency because I only use it for audio, listening to music on my iPhone. If you use AptX Low Latency, I believe it supports it. - Is the wire long enough to dangle down rather than coil around your ear?
No, I’m afraid the wire is not long enough to wrap over ears. It is made to attach to a shirt by the neck. However, only when music is not playing do I notice more microphonics than with a standard wire wrapped over the ears. - What is this product’s waterproof rating? In the past, I’ve utilized high-rated water blue tooth products, but they stopped working after prolonged use.
It is not water-resistant. But I suggest them. My favorite. - The lowest volume level is how quiet? Does the volume adjustment go in small “steps” or is it really precise?
When I use my Samsung phone and tablet, the increments are very small for me. - Is it simple to link and switch between several devices using this? Or must the pairing procedure be repeated each time you switch?
This doesn’t require constant re-pairing with your device. However, it could be difficult to connect to the desired device if several devices have already been associated with it. Overall, it’s quite good. - Does it have a clip to attach the module to clothing if I want to use it with the Ria Solo?
It does, indeed. Actually, there are two clips included; I use one on the right side and one on the left of the device to fully attach it.
