- Warranty requires pre-delivery inspection and adherence to specified intervals, documented by an authorized BH dealer.
- If repairs are unsatisfactory, replacement or refund may be requested.
- The warranty period is interrupted during repairs and renewed for replaced items.
- Claims expire six months after the warranty period ends.
- All claims must be processed through an authorized dealer.

03 Maintenance
Regular maintenance is crucial for your bicycle's performance and longevity. This section provides essential guidelines.
Inspect the Bicycle Before Use
Before each ride, perform the following checks:
- FRAME: Check for cracks, damage, or strange noises.
- CHAIN: Ensure it is lubricated and the transmission operates quietly.
- BRAKES: Verify proper function. When stopped, squeeze the brake lever firmly; it should not touch the handlebars.
- TYRES: Check correct pressure and inspect for cuts on the tread and sides. Ensure tread wear is within recommended limits.
- WHEELS: Ensure wheels rotate freely. Check brake lining clearance and frame-to-tyre clearance.
- STEERING: Steering should be smooth and silent.
- SWINGARM ROTATION POINTS: Suspension should operate smoothly without noise. Play or improper function may indicate incorrect torque or worn bearings.
- BEARINGS: Bearings must function properly and silently. Replace worn bearings to prevent damage to other components.
- ELECTRICAL SYSTEM (if applicable): Check motor, display, assistance modes, and speed sensor functionality. Ensure all connections are secure and undamaged.
Do not ride if any of these checks fail. Consult your nearest BH workshop if unsure.
Failure to observe tightening torque recommendations can lead to accidents. Dynamic loads cause fatigue and wear; regularly inspect parts for signs of wear, scratches, bends, or cracks. Replace parts nearing their service life at an authorized BH workshop.
Keep the Bicycle Clean
Follow these measures to maintain optimal working order and prevent premature wear:
- Clean dust and mud with a damp sponge and a mild, neutral cleaning product.
- Wash plastic parts with soapy water only.
- Tyres can be cleaned with a sponge or brush and soapy water.
- After cleaning, dry the bicycle thoroughly with a soft cloth.
- Lubricate transmission elements after each cleaning.
Dirt can cause damage and accidents. Never use pressure washers or steam cleaners.
Keep the Transmission Lubricated at All Times
Washing can remove chain lubrication. Inspect and lubricate the chain as needed. Excessive lubrication can attract dirt, leading to premature wear and malfunction.
Never use pressure washers or steam cleaners.
Part Maintenance
Regular inspections are necessary. Maintenance frequency depends on usage type (leisure, road, mountain) and conditions.
Part Maintenance Calendar Summary
The manual includes a detailed calendar for various parts (Lighting, Tyres, Brakes, Cables, Suspension Fork, Saddle Seat Post, Rims, Bottom Bracket, Chain, Chainsets, Wheels/Spokes, Headset, Metal Surfaces, Hubs, Pedals) with actions required (functional check, pressure check, cleaning, lubrication, inspection, replacement) and recommended intervals (Before each outing, Monthly, Annually, After 800 km, At least once every six months).
Spare Parts
Use only original BH parts for optimal performance, safety, and to avoid warranty voidance. Common wear parts include tyres, inner tubes, brake pads, disc brakes, rims, headlights, and batteries.
- TYRES: Replace with equivalent ETRTO standard tyres. Ensure sufficient clearance (at least 6mm) to frame/fork parts to prevent accidents.
- INNER TUBES: Use suitable ETRTO standard inner tubes matching the tyre type.
- DISC BRAKES AND BRAKE PADS: Follow manufacturer instructions.
- HEADLIGHTS AND POSITION LIGHTS: Replace bulbs with the same type.
- CHAIN, COG AND CHAIN RINGS: Follow manufacturer instructions.
- BATTERIES AND ACCUMULATORS: Replace with the same type.
After a Fall, Blow or Impact
If you experience a fall, blow, or impact:
- First, ensure you are okay to continue cycling. Seek medical assistance if injured.
- If uninjured, check the bicycle thoroughly:
- Wheels: Securely fastened, rims centered. Adjust brakes if necessary.
- Handlebars/Frame: Check for twists or breaks. Ensure the fork is seated correctly.
- Chain: Check fit and function, especially after a fall on the transmission side. Verify gear-to-spoke clearance.
- Frame/Saddle/Bottom Bracket: Inspect for defects.
- Loose Bolts: Lift and drop the bike slightly to listen for noises, then inspect for loose bolts.
- General Inspection: Check for bent areas, worn finish, or cracks.
- Ride cautiously after inspection. Avoid sudden braking or acceleration. If unsure, seek assistance. Inspect again at home.
- Bent aluminum parts must not be straightened; they pose a high risk of breakage. Replace them for safety.
04 Warnings on Use
- MAXIMUM TYRE SIZE: Ensure at least 6mm clearance between the tyre and frame/fork parts.
- MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM INSERTION LENGTH OF THE SEAT POST: Failure to adhere to these dimensions can cause frame damage and serious accidents. Warranty does not cover damage from non-compliance.
- MAXIMUM FORK LENGTH (AXLE-TO-CROWN): Exceeding this length can damage the frame due to excessive load.
- MAXIMUM NUMBER OF STEERING SPACERS: Do not exceed the specified number of spacers under the stem to prevent material damage.
- POSITION OF THE SPINDLE INSIDE THE FORK TUBE: No steering spacers should be fitted above the stem.
- INTENDED USE: Bicycles are designed for specific uses. The Lynx Race models are intended for difficult trails, unpaved paths, and technical terrain. Maximum jumping/drop height is 61 cm (24").
