3. Instrucciones de configuración

3.1 Attaching the Top Handle to Your Camera Rig

  1. Identify the 3/8"-16 ARRI locating holes or 1/4"-20 threaded holes on your camera cage or rig.
  2. Align the base of the SMALLRIG Top Handle with the desired mounting points.
  3. Secure the handle using the provided locking knob and washer. Ensure it is tightened firmly with the Allen wrench to prevent any wobble.

3.2 Mounting the DJI Focus Pro LiDAR Module

  1. Attach the dedicated mounting bracket for the DJI Focus Pro LiDAR to the telescoping rail system on the top handle.
  2. Slide the DJI Focus Pro LiDAR module into the mounting bracket.
  3. Use the telescoping rail to adjust the LiDAR module's vertical and horizontal position. The goal is to position the LiDAR as close to the front of the lens as possible to minimize parallax and optimize autofocus accuracy.

4. Instrucciones de funcionamiento

4.4 Modular Functionality

When the DJI Focus Pro LiDAR system is not required, the handle can be used as a conventional top handle, providing a comfortable and secure grip for camera operation. The ergonomic design includes embedded silicone for anti-slip and cold-resistant performance.

5. Mantenimiento

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your SMALLRIG Module Top Handle, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Consider using a NATO clamp adapter if your rig supports it, to provide a quick-release and potentially more secure mounting solution.

6.2 LiDAR Module Not Adjusting Smoothly

If the LiDAR module does not slide smoothly on the telescoping rail:

  • Ensure the locking knob for the telescoping rail is fully loosened.
  • Check for any debris or obstructions on the rail. Clean if necessary.
