Overview

The HT88 is a versatile timer module with adjustable timing via DIP switches, flexible trigger inputs, and controlled output behavior. A built-in test button and diagnostic LED indicators simplify installation and maintenance.

Specifications

Item Specification
Timer Duration Range 1s to 10hr (selectable via DIP switches; see time settings)
Power Supply 10V–14V AC or DC at 70mA
Input Volt-free closing or opening contact
Output Type Identical to input voltage
Max Output Load 1A maximum current load
Test Button Function Forces output ON immediately, overriding TRIG input and DIP switch settings
LED Behavior Power up: flashes 3 times (1 second). Output ON: constant ON. Pending: TRIG active but output off → flashes at ½ second intervals

Quick Setup & Use

  1. Set the DIP switches to select the desired timer duration.
  2. Select the trigger contacts configuration using the DIP switch input type: Normally Open (close TRIG contacts to activate) or Normally Closed (open TRIG contacts to activate).
  3. Connect power using 10V–14V AC or DC (70mA) and wire the TRIG input using a volt-free contact (closing or opening depending on the selected input type).
  4. Connect the output load; the output is identical to the input voltage with a maximum load current of 1A.
  5. Optionally press the onboard test button to force the output ON immediately (overrides TRIG input and DIP settings).
  6. Use the LED to verify status: constant ON when output is active, and ½ second interval flashing when TRIG is active but output remains off.

Electrical Specifications

Inputs

  • Supply: 10V – 14V AC or DC at 70mA.
  • Trigger: Volt-free closing or opening contact.

Outputs

  • Output Type: Identical to input voltage (maximum current load of 1A).

Operation & Diagnostics

Test Button OperationPressing the onboard test button forces the output to the ON state immediately, overriding the TRIG input state and DIP switch settings.

LED Status Indicator

  • Power Up: The LED flashes 3 times (duration of 1 second) when power is first applied to the HT88.
  • Output Active: When the output is ON, the LED remains constantly ON.
  • Pending State: If the TRIG input is active but the output remains off (for example, while in delayed output mode), the LED will flash at ½ second intervals.

Troubleshooting

  • Check LED at power-up: The LED should flash 3 times (duration of 1 second) when power is first applied.
  • Output not turning ON when TRIG is active: If the TRIG input is active but the output remains off (e.g., in delayed output mode), the LED will flash at ½ second intervals—confirm the selected operating behavior and timing.
  • Verify DIP switch and TRIG behavior: Ensure the selected input type matches your wiring: Normally Open requires closing TRIG contacts to activate; Normally Closed requires opening TRIG contacts to activate.
  • Use the test button to isolate faults: Pressing the test button should force the output ON immediately; if it does not, re-check power and output wiring.
