dynabook PA5356 USB-C Dock

Outline

This tool helps to update the Dynabook USB-C Dock firmware. You can choose the related items and the tool will update automatically. Before running, place the PC and the USB-C Dock on a flat and stable surface. Connect the AC adaptor to the
dock and plug the power cord into a live electrical outlet. Then connect the dock to the PC via a USB Type-( cable. Make sure the dock is detected by the PC

Warning

• Do NOT disconnect the AC adaptor or the USB Type-C cable during the update.
• Do NOT connect the Keyboard Dock or the Travel Keyboard while you are using a Tablet PC to update

Guide for Update

• Launch Interface
• Double click the “TCH09651 00A.exe” and click the “Start”to extract the tool.
• Click “Yes” in the User Account Control interface
• The interface of the firmware update tool will be launched as below picture. Please read the illustration, then click”OK”to go to the main interface
• Main Interface Choose all updated items. Then click the “Start”to launch the update process

IMPORTANT:
Please don’t close the tool during the update process.

The firmware will be update one by one automatically. Will show the success information after process is done.

Active the firmware as the illustration of dialog box, click “OK” after completing the actions

The setting of “Idle Power Saving” and “Selective Suspend” will be updated from “Enabled” to “Disabled” for Dynabook USB-C Dock Ethernet automatically. Will show the success information after process is done

Close the tool after all update processes are succeeded Update failure will show”Fail” on main interface if upgrade failure

Troubleshooting

In case the firmware update tool failed:

• Confirm the USB Type-( to Type-( cable connection between dock and PC
• Confirm if the dock is detected by PC (charging to PC, detect USB device)
• Confirm the update step on “2.1 -2.5”
• Choose the failure item and upgrade once more
