CAUTION: Parts may contain concentrated chemicals. The use of Proper Protective Equipment is recommended when performing maintenance.
To remove seal easily without tools, squeeze it on either side to raise the seal, then slide it over the groove. Using sharp tools could damage the plunger.
Instructions
(Parts included in kit noted in blue)
- Unscrew hose nut (PDI748) and remove the hose. Unscrew injection stem assembly nut (PDI702) and pull stem (8CD033) down to detach from the unit.
- From the tip of the exposed plunger, remove the plunger seal (JDI121). Pinch the seal, roll it off, then replace with the new one.
- Hold the injection stem assembly and unscrew the check valve nut (PDI747). Pull out the check valve assembly (PJDI118).
- Give the top guide (PDI756) 1/4 of a turn counter clockwise to remove, and discard.
Discard the check valve spring (MDI359), check valve cone (PDI752) and check valve cone o-ring (JDI131).
- Install the new check valve coneo-ring (JDI131) and spring (MDI359) onto the check valve cone (PDI752) as shown, then insert on the check valve barb with the cone part going down. Place the new top guide (PDI756) on top of the cone and push down turning 1/4 clockwise to lock.
- Apply Dosa-Lube on the check valve barb o-ring. Insert the updated check valve assembly (PJDI118) back into the bottom of the injection stem assembly (8CD033), making sure the 4 keys on the ckeck valve seat next to the 4 keys on the bottom of the stem. Screw the check valve nut (PDI747) back on.
- Rub a small amount of Dosa-Lube onto the injection sleeve o-ring (JDI100), and attach the injection stem assembly back onto the blue body. Screw nut (PDI702) back on.
Cut 1” from the tip of the hose in a straight line. Insert the hose back onto the bottom of the check valve barb. Screw hose nut (PDI748) back on.
