CAUTION
Apply template and drill from outside, but compensate for door bevel if any.

NOTE: Lock will accommodate doors 1-⅜8″ (35mm) to 2-¼” (57mm) thick. Suitable reinforcement shall be provided by the hollow metal door manufacturer to prevent the collapsing of the door. When door silencers are to be installed, proper allowances must be made for the strike location.
Template B (with passage set)
This template is designed for right-hand and left-hand door installations.
Top Section
- 2 Holes, 1/4″ diameter (6mm)
- 1″ diameter (25mm) hole
- Verify exactly 1″ [25.4mm] after printing to ensure the scale is 1:1, full size.
- This hole is for passage models only.
Bottom Section
- 2-1/8″ (54mm) diameter through bore
- 2-3/8″ (60mm) and 2-3/4″ (70mm) options for latch backset
- 3-9/16″ (90mm) spacing from top to bottom
- 5/32″ (4mm) depth for mortise
Instructions
Mark accurately and bore straight. Ensure the fold is exactly on the line. This flap folds over the edge of the door for 2-3/4″ (70mm) backset.
Door Bevel
Apply the template on the exterior side of the door, but ensure the door bevel is aligned correctly.
Mark the Center of the Door Thickness
- 1-3/8″ (35mm)
- 1-3/4″ (44mm)
- 2″ (51mm)
- 2-1/4″ (57mm)
Latch and Strike Installation
- Strike: 1-1/16″ (27mm) x 2-1/4″ (57mm)
- Latch cutout: 1″ (25mm) diameter
- Strike box: 1″ (25mm) diameter
- Cross bore: 1″ (25mm) diameter, 2-1/8″ (54mm) through bore
