DOOR Safe DS1000 Dock With Monitor Stand
DO NOT INSTALL FIRST. TEST FIRST THAT EVERYTHING WORKS!
Power supply
- Connect the 2 wire doorbell to 12 or 15V DC 1500mA to the 2 left ports on the green block that plugs into the back of the doorbell when the doorbell is held with the antenna at the top.
- The black with stripes or red (+) wire should be connected to port V+ (7).
- The all black (-) wire should be connected to port V- (8).
- The power LED (6) should light up red continuously.
- Connecting the power wires the wrong way around will not cause any damage.
Insert SIM card
- Open the doorbell by unscrewing the 4 anti-theft screws.
- Make sure that the SIM card is nano size and is not secured with a PIN code.by inserting the SIM card into a phone and turning off the PIN code security:
Android:
- Open ‘Android settings’
- Select ‘Security and privacy’
- Select ‘Other security settings’
- Select ‘Lock. Set up SIM card’
- Make sure that ‘SIM card blocking’ is off or turn it off
iPhone:
- Open ‘iPhone settings’
- Select ‘Mobile network’
- Select ‘SIM PIN code’
- Make sure that ‘SIM PIN code’ is off or turn it off
- Slide the SIM card into the doorbell with the copper-colored contacts facing down.
Putting this doorbell into use & programming it
- Connect the short or long antenna to the doorbell & insert the SIM card.
- Supply the doorbell with power. The power LED (6) must be continuously red.
- Make sure that the LED ring around the push button is continuously on.
- The GSM indicator LED (18) on the back of the printed circuit board must flash continuously.
- Send this SMS to the doorbell number to become a manager: 1234#00*#MANAGER
- Set the first phone number by sending this SMS to the doorbell number:1234#01*#0612345678 (0612345678 = the number to call)
If necessary, change the standard PIN code or do not tell anyone the doorbell number, and set the doorbell further with the SMS commands from the list on the right.
- Stop doorbell call: press the push button again.
- LED ring push button functions
- During normal use, the LED ring around the push button lights up continuously.
- After someone presses the push button, the LED ring starts flashing slowly.
- If the doorbell cannot find a GSM network, the LED ring starts flashing quickly.
- The LED ring can be turned off completely with SMS command 20.
- After someone has pressed the push button and the doorbell starts ringing, you can hear that the doorbell is ringing, this can be turned off with SMS command 15.
- After someone has pressed the push button, a beep can be heard, this can be turned off with SMS command 16.
Connecting gate or door opener
- This doorbell can switch a maximum of 30VDC 1.5A or 30VAC 1.5A.
- It is possible to switch both a Working Current (N.O. or Fail Secure) or Rest Current (=N.C. or Fail Safe) lock. The doorbell is only a switch and does not supply power.
- Unlock time is adjustable with SMS command 14.
- During a call, press * or send SMS command 12 to open the door or gate: 1234#UNLOCK*
- The first 3 specified phone numbers can call the doorbell to open the door or gate. Up to 20 phone numbers of additional users who are allowed to open the door or gate by calling the doorbell can be specified with SMS command 13.
Reset
- To reset the PIN code: press reset button (16) on the printed circuit board for 5 sec.
- To reset all settings: send an SMS with 1234#RESET# to the doorbell

- SW – Exit button (to be able to connect a separate button to open the lock or the gate or the gate)

- BELL-B – Extra DingDong gong
- Reset button
- SIM card port
- GSM indicator LED (continuously white when GSM module is starting up – continuously flashing when GSM module is started up properly)
SMS COMMANDS TO SET THE DOORBELL
- Become doorbell administrator: 1234#00*#MANAGER <1234=pin code> SMS confirmation: Set manager success!
- Change the default pin code of 1234: 1234#PIN#5678# <5678=new pin code> SMS confirmation: OK!
- Set the first phone number: 1234#01*#0612345678 SMS confirmation: Set 1st number success! (This number will be the first one the doorbell calls when someone rings the doorbell.)
- Set the second phone number: 1234#02*#0612345678 SMS confirmation: Set 2nd number success!
- Set the third phone number: 1234#03*#0612345678 SMS confirmation: Set 3rd number success!
- Time until the next number is called: 1234#CALLNEXT#AAA# AAA can be: 010 – 180 seconds SMS confirmation: OK!
- Maximum call length after answering: 1234#MAXCALLTIME#AAA# AAA can be: 001 – 600 seconds SMS confirmation: OK!
- Reset all settings: 1234#RESET# SMS confirmation: OK!
- Check GSM signal strength: 1234#SIGNAL*# SMS confirmation: 1 – 31 Higher number = stronger signal.
- Set microphone volume: 1234#MICVOL#A# A can be: 1 – 8 SMS confirmation: OK!
- Set speaker volume: 1234#SPEAKERVOL#A# A can be: 1 – 5 SMS confirmation: OK!
- Open door or gate: 1234#UNLOCK*# SMS confirmation: OK! Open door or gate during a call: press * key on your phone.
- Set additional users who are allowed to open the door/lock: 1234#UNLOCKUSER#AA*#0612345678 AA can be: 01 – 20 (so a maximum of 20 additional phone numbers) SMS confirmation: Set unlock user success! (These phone numbers can call the doorbell and then the door/lock will open.)
- Set how long lock/gate opens: 1234#UNLOCKTIME*#AA AA can be: 01 – 99 sec SMS confirmation: Set unlock time success!
- Visitor hears bell sound when doorbell rings: 1234#CALLSOUND#A# A can be: 1 – visitor hears bell sound; 2 – no bell sound SMS confirmation: OK!
- The push button beeps after it is pressed: 1234#BEEP#A# A can be: 1 – Beep sound is enabled; 2 – Beep sound is disabled SMS confirmation: OK!
- Receive SMS confirmation messages: 1234#SMS#A# A can be: 1 – receive SMS confirmations; 2 – do not receive SMS messages SMS confirmation: OK!
- Duration of a DINGDONG chime: 1234#BELLSECONDS#AA# AA can be: 05-30 seconds; Default setting: 6 seconds SMS confirmation: OK!
- Number of times a DINGDONG chime sounds: 1234#BELLCOUNT#A# A can be: 1 – 9 times; Default setting: 2 times SMS confirmation: OK!
