DIGITUS DS-45336 3-Port MST Video Hub (DP -> 2x DP 1x HDMI)
Introduction
The DIGITUS® MST Hub uses Multi Stream Transport (DisplayPort ™ 1.2 function), which allows multiple AV signals to be transported over a single cable. This enables the use of multiple monitors that are connected via the MST Hub configuration. The MST Hub can distribute different video streams to the three connected screens. In general three playback modes are available: Mirror (1 signal mirrored on 3 displays), extend (3 signals on 3 displays), and distribute (1 signal distributed across 3 displays).

Note:
- The Video Splitter must be connected to the power supply or it will not work properly
- Make sure your DisplayPort is DP v1.2 or later. This is most important criteria. If you’re unsure, check with the video card or system manufacturer
- Mac OS does not support MST function and will only mirror the display
- MST hubs cannot increase the number displays a video card supports. Each video card has limited number of displays it can support, regardless of the number of display connectors built to your video card. From our experience at the current time. AMD and NVIDIA video card support up to 4 displays while Intel supports up to 3. If you’re unsure, check with the video card or system manufacturer
- If you use a 4K monitor to display in 1080p, there is a possibility that the link still get 4K bandwidth and reduces the overall bandwidth for the other displays
