Cucumber Controls PIRSCR Ceiling Switching Sensor Range
Product Information
The PIRSCR Range is a ceiling sensor that is designed to detect motion and control lighting in various settings. It is suitable for both flush and surface fixing installations. The sensor has a detection range of 7m walk towards and 11m walk across, with a height of 2.8m. It operates on a supply voltage of 100VAC to 230VAC and a supply frequency of 50/60Hz. The casing is made of ABS Dev962 UL 94 VO material, ensuring durability and safety. The product complies with several directives including the Low Voltage Directive, Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive, Radio Equipment Directive, and Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive.
- Ceiling Sensor Range
- The PIRSCR Range ceiling sensor can be installed either by flush fixing or surface fixing methods.
Flush Fixing:
- Push the springs upwards and insert the sensor into the hole.
- Terminate cables into connections as per the wiring diagram provided.
- Fit the wiring cover.
- Attach the surface mounting sleeves (SMSLW – White or SMSLB – Black) to the sensor (sold separately).
- Refit the head to the power supply.
Surface Fixing:
- Separate the head and power supply by pressing the yellow release lug.
- Remove the springs by pressing the spring legs together and unhooking them from the power supply body.
- Fix the sensor to a Besa box or directly to the surface using suitable 3.5mm or No.6 screws (not supplied).
- Terminate cables into connections as per the wiring diagram provided.
- Fit the wiring cover.
- Attach the surface mounting sleeves (SMSLW – White or SMSLB – Black) to the sensor (sold separately).
- Refit the head to the power supply.
WARNING: This device should be installed by a qualified electrician in accordance with the latest edition of the UK Wiring regulations.

Quick Installation Guide
Ceiling SWITCHING Ceiling Sensor Range
Wiring
Terminate cables into connections as per wiring diagram below and fit wiring cover.
Flush fixing
- Drill a Ø 73mm hole in the ceiling.
- Push springs upwards and insert the sensor into the hole
Surface fixing
- Separate head and power supply by pressing the yellow release lug.
- Remove springs by pressing spring legs together and unhook them from power supply body.
- Fix to Besa box or direct to surface using suitable 3.5mm or No.6 screws (not supplied). Refit head to power supply
- Attach the surface mounting sleeves (SMSLW (White) or SMSLB (Black) sold separately) to the sensor.
