4. Průvodce nastavením

4.1 Instalace pevného disku

1. Ujistěte se, že je skříň vypnutá a odpojená od počítače.
2. Gently press the top cover of the enclosure to release and open it.
3. Slide out the drive trays from the enclosure.
4. Place your 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch SATA HDD/SSD into the drive tray. Secure the drive to the tray using the provided screws.
5. Slide the loaded drive tray back into the enclosure until it clicks into place.
6. Close the top cover of the enclosure.

4.2 Připojení k počítači

1. Connect one end of the provided USB-C 2-in-1 data cable to the Type-C port on the ORICO enclosure.

5.1 Initializing New Hard Drives

If you are using new hard drives, they may need to be initialized, partitioned, and formatted before they can be used.

• Windows: Open Disk Management (Right-click "This PC" > "Manage" > "Disk Management"). Locate the new drive, right-click it, and select "Initialize Disk." Follow the prompts to create a new simple volume and format it.
• Operační Systém Mac: Open Disk Utility (Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility). Select the new drive, click "Erase," choose a format (e.g., APFS or Mac OS Extended), and confirm.

Once the hard drives are recognized by your system, you can drag and drop files to and from the drives as you would with any other storage device. The enclosure supports USB 3.1 Gen1 speeds, offering theoretical transfer rates up to 5Gbps, with real-world read/write speeds around 260MB/s.

Note: If multiple disks are used simultaneously, the transfer speed may be slightly reduced.

The enclosure features a smart sleep technology. If there is no data activity for approximately 10 minutes, the hard drives will automatically enter sleep mode. This reduces power consumption and helps to prolong the lifespan of your hard drives. The drives will wake up automatically upon access.

7.1 Enclosure Not Detected

• Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to both the enclosure and a working power outlet.
• Verify the USB data cable is firmly connected to both the enclosure and your computer's USB port.
