3. Setup

  1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all items from the packaging. Inspect for any damage.
  2. Connect Air Hose: Attach one end of the 1.8-meter air hose to the air outlet port on the compressor. Ensure a secure connection.
  3. Connect Airbrush: Attach the other end of the air hose to the air inlet of the airbrush gun. Tighten gently to prevent air leaks.
  4. Connect Power Adapter: Plug the DC power adapter into the compressor's power input jack.
  5. Power On: Plug the AC power adapter into a suitable electrical outlet (100-250V, 50-60 Hz). The power indicator light on the compressor should illuminate.
  6. Place Compressor: Position the compressor on a stable, flat surface. The anti-slip base will help keep it steady during operation.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Preparing the Airbrush

  1. Fill Fluid Cup: Pour your desired paint or medium into the airbrush's integrated 5ml fluid cup. Ensure the paint is properly thinned for airbrushing.
  2. Test Spray: Before applying to your project, perform a test spray on a scrap piece of material to check paint consistency and air pressure.

4.2 Adjusting Air Pressure

The compressor features an adjustable pressure knob. Turn the knob from 'OFF' towards 'MAX' to increase air pressure. The compressor provides a maximum pressure of 28 PSI and an airflow of 15 L/min. The automatic start-and-stop function means the compressor will activate when air is drawn and stop when not in use, conserving energy and reducing noise.

4.3 Using the Dual-Action Airbrush

The dual-action airbrush allows for independent control of air and fluid flow:

  • Air Control: Press down on the main lever to release air.
  • Fluid Control: Pull back on the main lever to release paint. The further you pull back, the more paint is released.
  • Fine Details: For ultra-fine details, use the 0.2mm nozzle and adjust the air and fluid flow precisely.

Practice controlling both air and fluid simultaneously to achieve desired effects.

5. Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance are crucial for the longevity and optimal performance of your airbrush kit.

5.1 Airbrush Cleaning

  1. After Each Use: Empty any remaining paint from the fluid cup. Add a small amount of appropriate cleaning solution (water for water-based paints, solvent for solvent-based paints) to the cup.
  2. Flush: Spray the cleaning solution through the airbrush until it runs clear.
  3. Back-Flush: Cover the nozzle with your finger or a cap and gently pull back the trigger to create a bubbling action in the fluid cup. This helps dislodge paint from inside the airbrush.
  4. Disassemble (Periodically): For thorough cleaning, disassemble the airbrush components (refer to Figure 2.4). Clean each part with a brush and cleaning solution. Pay special attention to the needle, nozzle, and fluid cup.
  5. Reassemble: Ensure all parts are dry before reassembling. Be careful not to bend the needle or damage the nozzle.

5.2 Compressor Maintenance

The compressor is an oil-free design, requiring minimal maintenance. Keep the exterior clean and free of dust. Ensure the air intake and outlet are unobstructed. Do not attempt to lubricate internal components.

5.3 Storage

Store the airbrush kit in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the airbrush is thoroughly cleaned before storage to prevent paint from drying inside.

6. Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
