This manual will guide you through the proper use and maintenance of your BST100 device.

4. Nastavení a připojení

To begin testing, ensure the vehicle's ignition is off and all accessories are turned off. Follow these steps to connect the BST100 to your 12V battery:

1. Vyhledejte 12V baterii vašeho vozidla.
2. Připojte červený kladný (+) třamp of the BST100 to the positive (+) terminal of the battery.
3. Připojte černý záporný (-) třamp of the BST100 to the negative (-) terminal of the battery.
4. Zajistěte oba třamps are securely attached to prevent inaccurate readings or disconnections during testing.

Important: The BST100 features built-in protection against incorrect polarity connections, so connecting it incorrectly will not damage the tester or your vehicle's battery.

5. Návod k obsluze

The BST100 offers several testing modes accessible via its main menu. Use the UP/DOWN arrow buttons to navigate and the ENTER button to select an option. The ESC button allows you to go back to the previous screen.

5.1. Test baterie

This test evaluates the overall health and capacity of your battery.

2. The screen will prompt you to select the Typ baterie. Choose from options like "Regular Flooded", "AGM Flat Plate", "AGM Spiral", "GEL", or "EFB" using the arrow keys and press ENTER.
3. Dále vyberte Vstup Standard (e.g., CCA, BCI, CA, MCA, JIS, DIN, IEC, EN, SAE, GB) that matches your battery's rating. Press ENTER.
4. Zadejte Jmenovitá hodnota (e.g., 570A CCA) as indicated on your battery. Press ENTER.
5. The tester will display "TESTING" and then present the results, including:
   • Healthy (SOH): Battery State of Health in percentage.
   • Charge (SOC): Battery State of Charge in percentage.
   • Interní R: Internal Resistance value in milliohms (mΩ).
   • Hodnoceno: The input rated value.

5.2. Test otáčení

This test assesses the vehicle's starting system, including the battery's ability to deliver sufficient current to crank the engine.

1. V hlavní nabídce vyberte možnost "2. Zkouška startováním" a stiskněte ENTER.
2. The screen will display "START ENGINE".
3. Nastartujte motor vozidla.
4. The tester will detect the RPM and then display the cranking test results, including:
   • ČAS: Cranking duration in milliseconds (ms).
   • KLIKY: Cranking svtage.
   • Postavení: "NORMAL" or "ABNORMAL".

5.3. Charging Test (Alternator Test)

This test evaluates the vehicle's charging system, including the alternator and rectifier diode.

2. The screen may prompt you to increase the engine RPM to 2500 r/min and hold it for 5 seconds. Follow the on-screen instructions.
3. The tester will perform the loaded and unloaded voltage tests and ripple analysis.
4. The results will show:
   • Načteno: svtage pod zatížením.
   • Unloaded: svtage without load.
   • Vlnění: Zvlnění voltage in millivolts (mV).
   • Postavení: "CHARGING NORMAL" or "CHARGING LOW/HIGH".

6. Údržba a péče

• Keep the BST100 device clean and dry. Use a soft, damp hadříkem k čištění; nepoužívejte abrazivní čisticí prostředky ani rozpouštědla.
• Store the device in a safe place, away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and high humidity.
• Zabraňte pádu zařízení nebo jeho vystavení silným nárazům.
• Regularly check the test clamps for any signs of damage or corrosion. Clean them if necessary to ensure good electrical contact.

• For the most accurate battery test results, it is recommended to remove any negative current draw from the vehicle before performing the test.
• Always select the correct battery type and input standard (e.g., CCA, AH) that matches your battery's specifications for precise readings.
• The BST100 is a battery tester, not a charger. It cannot charge your battery.
• The device can test a wide range of 12V batteries, including those for motorcycles, cars, vans, boats, and light trucks. It supports capacities up to 220AH.
• The tester displays both State of Health (SOH) and State of Charge (SOC) in percentages, providing a clear overview of your battery's condition.

• "The resistance is too high" / "CHARGE-RETEST" message: If the battery test displays this message, it indicates that the battery's internal resistance is too high, or its charge is too low. Charge the battery fully and retest. If the issue persists, the battery may need replacement.

• Nepřesná čtení: Ensure all connections are secure and clean. Remove any negative current draw from the vehicle (e.g., turn off all accessories, disconnect auxiliary devices) before testing for optimal accuracy.
• Battery CCA Value Discrepancy: For new batteries, the tested CCA value might be 10-15% higher than the standard rating. This is normal and will gradually align with the standard as the battery is used.
