Charging with USBC-PD:

Xcell packs support up to 100W input via the USB-C connector when used with a compatible USB-C PD (Power Delivery) charger. The battery’s BMS is programmed to prioritize safety and maximize long-term service life. While 100W fast charging is possible, it is only enabled during a controlled portion of the charge cycle to reduce stress on the cells. If the pack is at 0% or in a low-voltage state, it may take up to 30 minutes to reach a sufficient charge level before fast charging begins. During this initial stage, the lightning bolt icon (indicating active charging) may not appear until the pack reaches approximately 3%. Rest assured, the pack is charging as intended.

Wraparound LED Power Gauge:
The pack’s LED power gauge will automatically display once the pack is being used. When not in use, press the button on top of the pack to check charge capacity status.

1 Segment: 0-24% 2 Segment: 25-49% 3 Segment: 50-74% 4 Segment: 75%-100%
Overtime the RunTime LCD and power gauge’s accuracy is dependent upon a full charge and discharge. At least once every 2 months the battery should be fully cycled(discharged and charged) so the battery can relearn the capacity of the battery.
Camera Communication: Once connected to a camera which supports SMBUS or single-line data communication, the battery will convey, in real time, power data to the camera.
ColorID Custom Identification Logo and Firmware Updates
Updating Firmware and Custom ColorID Logo on Xcell Packs
Xcell packs support firmware and logo updates directly via USB-A, with no PC or Mac required. To update your battery’s firmware or change the ColorID display logo, follow the steps below:

1.

Create Your Logo File

· To generate a custom ColorID identification logo, visit the Core SWX Loyalty Portal or contact support@coreswx.com for assistance. The logo file must be prepared via the portal before loading onto your battery.

2.

Preparing a USB thumb drive

· Use a USB-A flash drive formatted as FAT32 or exFAT which is <= 32GB in storage capacity. · Copy your firmware file and/or logo file to the root directory of the drive. · We recommend keeping only one firmware file and one logo file on the drive at a time to avoid conflicts.

3.

Perform the Update

· Plug the USB flash drive into the USB-A port on the battery. · Press the reset button, located in the center of the P-Tap port. · The battery will automatically detect the files, upload the firmware and/or logo, and reboot. This process
takes approximately 3 to 8 seconds.

4.

Confirm the Update

· To verify the logo update, double-press the LED display button to view the custom logo. · To check the firmware version, press and hold the LED display button for 5 seconds.
If you encounter any issues or need assistance creating logo files, please contact support@coreswx.com.

USB-C PD/USB-A/Ptap Connection:
The integrated USB-C Power Delivery (PD) port functions as both input and output supporting DC 5V, 9V, 15V, and 20V up to 100W. Whether you’re powering on-set monitors or charging the pack itself, the USB-C connection enables fast, efficient power transfer tailored to your device’s needs–helping to extend battery lifespan and reduce downtime.
The battery’s onboard P-Tap port delivers regulated DC output between 11V and 16.8 and also supports input charging from compatible sources. The port is internally fused based on the pack’s total output capacity to ensure safe, reliable operation across demanding workflows.
An auxiliary USB-A port rounds out the battery’s I/O options, supplying DC 5V at up to 3 –perfect for charging mobile devices, wireless receivers, or other 5V accessories without needing a separate power source.
Battery Storage:
In the event the battery pack won’t be used for an extended period of time, store the battery pack at 40% charged in an environment between 10oC and 35oC. Every two months the battery pack should be fully cycled to reduce the change of self-discharge and capacity loss.
Notes On Use:
· An increase in temperature is normal during charging and discharging. · Make sure to keep battery contacts clean. · Do not attempt to disassemble the battery. Please contact Core SWX for any service issues. · Keep batteries seperated when transporting. · Keep battery pack dry and avoid use in humid environments
