Product Usage Instructions

Installation

  1. Locate the CONNECTOR GROUND CONTACT and CONNECTOR NEUTRAL CONTACT on LED fixture adapter and TRACK POLARITY LINE on track.
  2. Hold the LED track fixture body securely and move the CONTACT HEAD into the track.
  3. Ensure the track connector latch is locked into the track system.

Removing Unit from Track
Allow the unit to cool before removing from the track. Hold the LED track fixture body securely and pull to remove it.

Changing Optics

  1. Remove Optical Cover (fixture cover).
  2. Twist the optical cover counterclockwise to unlock it from the fixture housing.
  3. Remove the optic from inside the LED fixture by turning it back and forth until loose.
  4. Install desired optic by aligning and twisting it into place on the OPTIC HOLDER.
  5. Lock the optic in place and secure the optical cover back on the fixture.

FAQ

Q: What should I do if the mounting adapter does not turn easily during installation?
A: If the mounting adapter does not turn easily, twist it in the opposite direction to avoid damaging the contact assembly.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  • Read carefully for your protection and save all instructions.
  • Wear rubber-soled shoes and work on a sturdy ladder.
  • This fixture must be installed according to the National Electric Code and local building codes.
  • To avoid a hazard to children, account for all parts and destroy all packing materials.
  • Do not install in damp or wet locations.
  • Do not install luminaire assembly closer than 6 inches from any curtain or similar combustible material.
  • For use on ceiling mount only. NOT for use on a vertically mounted track.

    Keep away from flammable vapors or materials. Please consult an electrician for installation if uncertain of luminaire electrical systems.
  • Risk of Electric Shock
    To avoid possible electrical shock, be sure that power supply is turned off at fuse box or circuit breaker before installing or servicing fixture. To reduce the risk of fire and electrical shock, use only fixtures and fittings intended for use with “L” series 120V HALO Track.
  • Risk of Burn
    Disconnect power and allow fixture to cool before handling fixture.

TO INSTALL UNIT ON TRACK

  1. Locate the CONNECTOR GROUND CONTACT and CONNECTOR NEUTRAL CONTACT on LED fixture adapter and TRACK POLARITY LINE on track. See Figures 1 and 2 respectively.
  2. Hold the LED track fixture body securely. See Figure 3. Move the CONTACT HEAD into track. See Figure 4.
  3. Twist adapter approximately 1/4 turn (90°) until it locks into track opening. CONNECTOR GROUND CONTACT and CONNECTOR NEUTRAL CONTACT on adapter need to align with TRACK GROUND CONTACT, and TRACK NEUTRAL CONTACT respectively. The CONNECTOR GROUND and NEUTRAL CONTACTS should also be aligned with the TRACK POLARITY LINE (Refer to Figure 1 and 2).
  4.  Make sure track connector latch is locked into the track system.
    Note: Forcing the mounting adapter in the wrong direction may damage the contact assembly. If mounting adapter will not turn easily, twist adapter in the opposite direction.

Warning: DO NOT touch the TRACK CONTACTS directly as they could cause electrical shock.

Note: Allow unit to cool before removing from track.

  1. Holding the LED track fixture body securely, pull the latch on the adaptor housing downward. Now, twist adapter approximately 1/4 turn(90°). The outer connector housing locking tabs should be outside the track opening.
  2. Remove fixture from track.

TO CHANGE OPTICS

  1. Remove Optical Cover (fixture cover). Hold the LED track fixture body securely.Twist the optical cover counterclockwise as shown in figure 5. The optical cover should “unlock’ from the fixture housing as it turns.After optical cover is removed, the optic will be exposed as shown in Figure 6.
  2. Remove the optic from inside the LED fixture. Caution: Optic may have sharp edges. Gloves are recommended.
    To remove the optic, turn the optic back and forthforth until it becomes loose from the optics holder (Figure 7). The optic can now be removed from inside the LED fixture.
  3. Install desired optic by aligning the friction ring on OPTIC HOLDER with the OPTIC bottom opening as shown in Figure 8.
  4. Twist the optic back and forth while gently pushing downward on the optic until it is being held to the holder by friction.
  5.  Locate the locking notches on the optical cover. Match these locking notches with the housing to enable a twist and lock closure.

TO AIM AND LOCK THE LED FIXTURE TO DESIRED LOCATION

  1. After LED fixture is correctly installed on the track, turn the two LOCKING KNOBS, shown on Figure 9 in a counterclockwise direction. This will cause the main LED fixture housing to become loose and move in a vertical direction.
  2.  Once the desired light location and direction is obtained the housing needs to be locked in position. The housing can be locked in place by turning the LOCKING KNOBS in the clockwise direction, until the fixture maintains the desired position. Hand tight should be sufficient.

5-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

THE FOLLOWING WARRANTY IS EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
Cooper Lighting Solutions warrants to customers that, for  a period of five years from the date of purchase, Halo LED series products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship. The obligation of Cooper Lighting Solutions under this warranty is expressly limited to the provision of replacement products.This warranty is extended only to the original purchaser of the product. A purchaser’s receipt or other proof of date of original purchase acceptable to Cooper Lighting Solutions. This is required before warranty performance shall be rendered.THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT APPLY TO COOPER LIGHTING SOLUTIONS PRODUCTS THAT HAVE BEEN ALTERED OR REPAIRED OR THAT HAVE BEEN SUBJECTED TO NEGLECT, ABUSE, MISUSE OR ACCIDENT (INCLUDING SHIPPING DAMAGES). THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT APPLY TO PRODUCTS NOT MANUFACTURED BY COOPER LIGHTING SOLUTIONS WHICH HAVE BEEN SUPPLIED, INSTALLED, AND/OR USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH COOPER LIGHTING SOLUTIONS PRODUCTS. DAMAGE TO THE PRODUCT CAUSED BY REPLACEMENT BULBS OR CORROSION OR DISCOLORATION OF BRASS COMPONENTS ARE NOT COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY:

IN NO EVENT SHALL COOPER LIGHTING SOLUTIONS BE LIABLE FOR SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (REGARDLESS OF THE FORM OF ACTION, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, STRICT LIABILITY, OR IN TORT INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), NOR FOR LOST PROFITS; NOR SHALL THE LIABILITY OF COOPER LIGHTING SOLUTIONS FOR ANY CLAIMS OR DAMAGE ARISING OUT OF OR CONNECTED WITH THESE TERMS OR THE MANUFACTURE, SALE, DELIVERY, USE, MAINTENANCE, REPAIR OR MODIFICATION OF COOPER LIGHTING SOLUTIONS PRODUCTS, OR SUPPLY OF ANY REPLACEMENT PARTS THEREFORE, EXCEED THE PURCHASE PRICE OF COOPER LIGHTING SOLUTIONS PRODUCTS GIVING RISE TO A CLAIM. NO LABOR CHARGES WILL BE ACCEPTED TO REMOVE OR INSTALL FIXTURES.
All returned products must be accompanied by a Return Goods Authorization Number issued by the Company and must be returned freight prepaid. Any product received without a Return Goods Authorization Number from the Company will be refused.
Cooper Lighting Solutions is not responsible for merchandise damaged in transit. Repaired or replaced products shall be subject to the terms of this warranty and are inspected when packed. Evident or concealed damage that is made in transit should be reported at once to the carrier making the delivery and a claim filed with them. Reproductions of this document without prior written approval of Cooper Lighting Solutions are strictly prohibited
